“Original Dr Livingstone letters”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

This museum is located very close to the city centre. Unfortunatly it's forbidded to use a camera inside the museum. One part of the museum is political and shows a timeline of the history of Livingstone. Another part is a mix of paintings and real stuff, like pots and other tools. But what I liked the most was the part of Dr Livingstone, his whole life and the original letters that he wrote to different people. Some of them are hard to read, but you can see a few words here and there.

“More time needed! The guided tour a plus.”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

A visit to the Livingstone Museum was tacked onto our village cultural tour. So, our time was limited--we wished we had made a visit to the museum a separate tour as there was so much to read and learn--we barely got through two rooms. It is a museum in the older-style--so not much in the way of interaction like one would find in, eg, American Museum of Natural History. But still well worth the visit as none of the 4 of us knew much about David Livingstone, the history of Zambia, etc. We were lucky to have an excellent guide who easily answered our many questions about Zambia's history, governance, etc. Would be useful to have bottle of water to drink as the museum can be quite warm

“Worth it if you would like to spend an hour or 2”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

Museum needs a make-over and more funds. It presents the political history of Livingston and Zambia, as well some wildlife exhibits and culture and people of Zambia. The Livingston display was really interesting. We also had a quick tour of Livingston town - nice relaxed way to spend 3-4 hours, if you have the time and around 50-60 $ to spare.

“Pretty basic.”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

A pretty bland, basic museum.stuffed animals, a few old bones and lots of political/recent history boards. The livingstone letters are interesting and great to see them so well preserved. I went to kill some time when I had nothing better to do; killed around 30 minutes. For like $3 you can't complain too much!
