“Now called Bushfront Lodge, this was a treat.”
Reviewed 24 November 2008

We arrived and immediately fell in love with our chalet. The waterfall shower was wonderful. We followed the advice of the manager and went on the dinner cruise (a different concession nearby) on the Zambezi River. Perfect. Next morning he arranged a game drive at Moise-a-Tunya National Park, and Mark our guide new everywhere to go, and we spotted lots of wildlife. That afternoon, we went to Walk with the Lions and despite our initial trepidation that it was a tourist 'trap' found it to be anything but. They are working to re-introduce cats to the park, and this was part of it. We actually got to pet two 18 month old cats (the female only, the male was a bit grumpy). Amazing experience. Food was good at the Lodge, and the staff (especially bartender Royd) was friendly and eager to please. We enjoyed everything!

  • Liked — The nice individual chalets with waterfall shower.
  • Disliked — The mosquitoes (nets, spray provided--and worked)
  • Stayed October 2008, travelled as a couple

In Africa over the Christmas Holidays we discovered this great spot in Livingstone. Nyala Lodge is more reasonable than others in the area & more than adequate. The included breakfast was delicious with several choices off the menu. The pool was cloudy, however it sure felt good after several hours of hiking on the Victoria Falls riverbed! The chalets were clean & the courteous staff sprayed the perimeter of the room every evening; mosquito nets included & lit mosquito repellant coils. The shower was the greatest - a mini Victoria Falls. We had our own vehicle, which made it easy to get to the lodge. If you go to Victoria Falls stop in & speak with the Wild Side Tours & Safaris operators. They are most helpful & have lots of information on accommodations & activities in the area.
