“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2013

We stayed here for a Bills game and it was awesome. The room was clean, breakfast was great, and the staff was extremely nice. The housekeeping was great. We will totally stay here again. We recommend this hotel for anyone who stays in Buffalo!

Room Tip: Get A Penthouse, they're big and really nice

This is the older style RI with the lofts and townhouse feel. Some may not like the outdoor entrances, especially ground floor units with windows next to bedding. But in defense of this Residence Inn, we never felt any safety issues. Located in a nice suburban neighborhood. Units are updated and large. Stainless steel appliances, great new LG TVs. Great shower head. Evening reception excellent considering the price--FREE. Taco night can't go wrong. Breakfast also excellent with several hot food items. Check in a breeze with very pleasant staff. Will return.

My wife and I stayed in a queen suite with our 3 small dogs. The room was smelly and, to my dismay, the bedsheets looked dirty. We stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and did not encounter any major problems (except for the rooms being noisy - we could hear people above us). The grounds were not well maintained - there were cigarette butts all over the grass. The pet fee was expensive ($75). The bed was too soft. Since we paid $275 for a one night stay, we do not think it is acceptable to have a dirty room and poorly maintained grounds.

On a more positive note, the suite was spacious and the kitchenette was very clean. The front desk personnel were polite and helpful. The breakfast was also very good with a wide variety of cold and hot items.

We just returned from a two night stay. We had a second floor suite which slept a family of 5 (including 3 teens) comfortably. Pros: nice location very close to University of Buffalo, shopping, restaurants. Very spacious, loved having 2 bathrooms and 2 televisions. As with the other reviewers, it was quiet and reasonably clean. The lobby has been updated since we last visited and the dining area expanded. Breakfast was included and acceptable. Cons: the room seemed a bit tired, bathroom door did not close properly, the tub drain was slow, and the linens were very worn. I also did not like having to walk outside to access the lobby and the dining area - especially since it was pouring. Some may also have trouble accessing the second floor especially with heavy luggage as there as no elevators.

Stayed here for a month as was dispatched to Buffalo for work. This is a great property with a very helpful staff.

Pros:
1. Very clean hotel. Both the rooms and the reception area are well maintained.
2. Both breakfast and a light dinner are served (dinner is weeknights only). The dinner was definitely a nice touch and it even included free wine and beer.
3. The staff was very helpful in every matter and they even have a shuttle to drive you around the Buffalo area in case you don't have a car (though I would recommend a car).

Cons:
1. The wi-fi signal was regularly weak in my room. Not sure if this was because my room was farthest from the reception, but there's some scope for improvement in this respect.
2. Not a big deal but housekeeping messed up by providing me with 2 conditioners instead of a shampoo and a conditioner. Again, not the biggest issue but something that can be looked into.

Otherwise, this is a great choice for anyone in Buffalo for either work or vacation.

This hotel has penthouse suites/2 bedroom suites with a loft. Convenient when you travel with kids. The staff (we checked in with James) was super nice, we got an upgrade because of our Marriot Reward Membership. The property was quiet and clean, breakfast was good. Great family hotel for trip to Niagara Falls.

We took a family trip to Niagra Falls and were disappointed to find all the hotels in Niagra that allowed dogs were not of the best quality. So we opted to stay here, a twenty minute ride to the border. It was a bit time consuming to cross the border during the day, at night...no problem. But it was nice to have a two bedroom suite with four people and three dogs to stretch out in. Breakfast each morning was free and they provided a great variety of name brand items. It was peaceful and the grounds were well kept and clean. Our suite was very clean and had everything we needed, including comfy beds. I don't care how much I pay to stay somewhere but I must have a comfy bed to sleep in. The suite had a livingroom, small kitchen area with full size fridge, stove, oven, micro, dishes, toaster, coffee maker....etc... it was like a small apartment. The staff was very friendly...they even let us have a late checkout when we asked. I would definitely stay here again...it was worth the short ride and wait at the border...also nice to be somewhere quiet to go back to after the hustle and bustle of the loud, noisy tourist area of Niagra.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ground floor so you don't have to climb stairs. Rooms have outside entranc...
