“Brief but comfortable stay”
Reviewed 13 July 2013

Having flown in from Fort Lauderdale via Detroit, experienced mis connections and delays at Detroit, this was a welcome stop for the end of a long day.
Rooms were large enough for us, had an on site laundry and meals/bar area.
Saturday night was very noisy due to a girls soccer team staying in house, but being on the top floor sorted this out.
An airport shuttle is provided but you need to call the hotel to arrange this.
Free in room wifi is available along with local TV channels.

It is a little out of town, so to do the Falls you will need a rental car.
Enterprise Rentals is next door but not open on Sundays, so I used the shuttle back to the airport and got a rental from Dollar Rentals who I have used previously.

Good drive to Niagara Falls, the Canadian side, the roads are a nightmare, signage back to US border is non existent and many detours in place.

We booked here with a hockey team; original booking was for 2 rooms with 2 double beds and a cot; cancelled one room but needed 2 double beds; what we got was one king with a pull out sofa. For $152+ a night, this was NOT acceptable! They could not accomodate our needs but did give us 2 breakfasts and 2 free starbucks coffees for 1 morning; The onsite staff were great (error was at the booking department); they also allowed us late checkout. House keeping were great! Pool/spa way too small but outdoor patio area was nice. On site dinner and mini store was VERY $$$. We usually stay at the Marriott on Millersport and that is where we will go back to next time, team or not! much bigger pool area and outdoor deck; better restuarants, etc

Room Tip: rooms a decent size and come with mini fridge; could hear the people above us running so i would rec...

Decent hotel for a family trip. Good location, nice staff. Rooms were pretty good. Pool area is nice with patio outside. Breakfast area which also serves lunch/dinner items was nice - a little pricey like most hotels but good quality. Wifi was slow at times in the room. Refrigerator didn't work that well and smelled funny.

Stopped here on our last night after a very long trip through the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York after staying a night at a very nice property in Rochester area we decided to try our luck with another managed by the same company. Upon our arrival we found a very inviting lobby and very friendly staff. The hotel offers a nice cafe style restuarant open until 9pm each night with a fairly good variety of food selections. Room was very spacious and found it to be very clean. We certainly will be back for another stay on our next trip to Tony Walker in Williamsville the best shopping experience in Western New York hands down.

Room Tip: Top floor near the north end of the building is very quiet

Came to Buffalo for a graduation and were delighted with the room and friendly service of this fine Marriott location. Huge room with every amenity imaginable -- the bed was a comfortable California -King, and the pillows were so fabulous we ordered some when we got home. Delightful and accommodating staff....couldn't have asked for a nicer stay..

The Courtyard Buffalo Amherst provides good value, clean accomodation and excellent service. We checked in late one evening with plans to depart next morning on a flight via the Buffalo airport. The manager was very nice and upgraded our room for us. The room was spacious and clean. We left at 5:30 am the next morning and had paid to park the car at the hotel while we were away in New York city. The shuttle operated as planned though the driver seemed rather moody. On our return, we called the hotel and again the shuttle picked us up as we planned. This time the driver was an elderly gentleman and he was terrific. He was funny, and knew how to relate to customers, and together with our friends, we had a great time chatting with the driver.

The hotel offers incredible value, their shuttle operates as they promised, and we appreciated the convenience of parking at the hotel while we were away. On the whole, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. They are close to the Buffalo airport, and run a friendly hotel. Kudos to the manager and shuttle driver.

We stayed overnight here for a sports tournament but still managed to take in some of the local attractions due to this hotel's convenient location. The Walden Galleria is not even a 10-minute drive away and the Fashion Outlets Mall was also not far. Our room--although smaller than the rooms in other Courtyard locations we've stayed in--was clean and tastefully appointed. Our washroom was also smaller than what we're accustomed to @ other Courtyards, but it was clean enough, which is very important. The swimming pool is also small and there wasn't much of a gym. What I appreciated most about this hotel was how quiet it was. Although the property is adjacent to the I-290, we heard no highway noise, nor were we bothered by any hallway noise in the middle of the night, which made for a peaceful rest. The bistro in the main lobby serves Starbucks. If you can afford the time to drive out though I recommend doing breakfast elsewhere as a meal here is costly; fortunately, there are local family restaurants nearby---some even within walking distance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would probably stay here again if in the area.
