This hotel, as others mentioned, is in a great location. Very close to Nagoya Station. Beware that crossing the street at Takashimaya is better rather than walking a block over. Only 5 minutes from the station and just next to a restaurant area. There is a SunKus next to the hotel for all of your basic needs and on B2 in Takashimaya is a small liquor store with craft beer (personal fave). Kinshachi is the local craft beer and it isn't bad. Pop tops too, so no need for a bottle opener. Just east of the hotel is a restaurant area with a few shops specializing in Nagoya food. I went to Koya Koya and the food was pretty good and reasonably priced beers.

The rooms were pretty standard. Cramp like most Japanese hotels, but a little more than normal since it is at Nagoya Station. If you have lots of luggage, it will be cramp, but for a couple days it is more than adequate. The view from my room was limited but I could see the station.

I stayed in a single room but my parents were in a double. The double was only slightly larger. A bit tight for 2 people but the single room was good enough for me.

Just 3 minutes walk from Nagoya station. Many restaurants and shops around. Convenience stores are just next to the building or just road crossing. The room is not that big but we feel we have a little more space that other hotels in Japan's big cities that we used to stay. The only thing that we were a little disappointed that the hotel didn't allow us to check in 30 minutes earlier than the check-in time.

My husband and two young children have just stayed here for five nights. We loved the location, so close and convenient to all necessities ie shopping and transport. We found breakfast satisfactory although very limited in options, 3 stars is 3 stars so fair enough. And we had two days western two days japanese, not a buffet of both each day.

The real problem we had was condensation in our room. When we arrived mould was in each corner of the room, I wiped it off easily with a cloth but felt annoyed that cleaners couldn't do the same before we got there. The morning after our first night the carpet was wet my daughters toys wet, the roof was dripping in every corner from condensation. There is no natural air in the room which is clearly the problem. On our final night it got so bad we were dripped on. Had I been staying another night I would have complained. I was very worried about the kids developing coughs from the damp and lack of fresh air.

The staff were kind and helpful although we got annoyed that each afternoon we returned to put our son to bed but our room was still being cleaned, five hours should be ample time to clean a room surely, if you know Japanese hotel rooms...so tiny

We probably would not stay again due to concern for the kids and the condensation...such a shame as the hotel has potential plus if windows were able to be opened and cleaners actually cleaned.

Hotel location is really good; next to the JR station with easy access to subway and very affordable. A huge plus point travelling in Japan. Room size is tight but cozy enough for 2 people. This hotel will be perfect (location and comfort) if all you are looking for is a place to sleep after a day of exploring Nagoya. 7-Eleven is also conveniently near.
Tip: Next to the hotel, there's a breakfast place called Doutor. They did a really good job with their coffee and sandwich! Delightful find.

Book a double room with a very very reasonable price. The room is even smaller compared to Tokyo standard.

Location is a gem, A right turn from Sakuradori Exit and cross a traffic light will soon lead you to the hotel, for sure less than 3 minutes walk from the JR Nagoya station.

Hotel staff are not able to speak in english, but a google translator will be helpful in Japan.
Hotel is clean, complete with all amenities that you required to stay overnight, and WI-Fi too.

We booked one single and one double room for our stay. The rooms are tiny but clean. A double room would be better even if you are single as the double room rate is about the same a single room. but the room size is bigger. Services are excellent. Location is perfect. Only one minute from the subway station, and the nearest subway exit would Exit 2.

Great location just 5 minute walk from the Nagoya train station and major shopping areas. The hotel is small, but the rooms clean and efficient. While the walls seemed thin, it was surprisingly quiet at night. Breakfast was included in our stay and consisted of 2 different Japanese selections, a fish breakfast or a noodle breakfast. Both were excellent. Make sure you visit Tokyu Hands department store which shares space with the higher end Takashimaya store next to the train station. They have the most unique items you can find in Japan...everything you can think of from kitchen supplies to storage bins, stationary goods, makeup and food items. Nine or ten floors of great shopping.
