“Great location, big and clean rooms, excellent service”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

The hotel is located right on top of Nagoya train station making it super convenient to take the train to and from the Nagoya airport. It is also connected to Takashimaya via the underground tunnels which has a must-see Basement 1 where there are countless small stores selling all kinds of Japanese treats and snacks! The rooms are big compared to other lower-star hotels nearby and they are clean with updated bathrooms. Service, like most places in Japan (I think), is excellent, with people greeting you as you approach the reception, asking you if you are checking in or out and directing you to the nearest available counter.
I originally asked for a crib but was notified by email that the cribs they have were unsafe for babies who are already able to stand, so I decided that I did not need one since I had brought my own pack-and-play. It was good that they asked first though.
They also informed me beforehand via email that my request for an early check-in at around 11am was only possible if I was willing to pay for an extra day, which I wasn't. In the end, I arrived after 2pm anyway so it worked out fine for me.
There was also free wifi in the vicinity of the hotel.
Price is definitely not as low as other nearby hotels, but I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, very pleased with my two-night stay with my one-year-old baby.

It was an excellent hotel. The Japanese staff was friendly and competent. The was one Chinese receptionist and though competent she did not have the polished Japanese hospitality. Was cold and unfriendly. This was the one mar to the great 9 day stay there. Location of the hotel was ideal for exploring with a JR pass to Kyoto, Osaka, Kanazawa. Would stay there again.

They have a great location on top of the central train station with good food choices and easy access to Takashimaya and Tokyu Hands to buy cool stuff. Some of the rooms are small and weird shaped. Ask for a room with a view and try to get one that ends in a 05, the higher the better. These are corner rooms with great views of the Mode Hal Isen building and the train tracks. The train tracks are a particular treat if you like to see the Shinkansen and other trains going by. Although the buffet offerings are extensive, I don't recommend the breakfast because it is way too expensive. There are breakfast places available in the station that easy to get too.

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. Recently, I stayed at this hotel in March 2014, It has excellent location, located above the subway station, you can take subway from Nagoya airport that takes about 35 minutes to get to the hotel as it just a small walk to the hotel as it is just located above the subway station. It is very convenient and close to reasonably priced restaurants located near the Takashimaya store within the complex. The snow was falling during my stay, the view from 39th Floor was fantastic. My stay was pleasant, the staff is very friendly and courteous. The wi-fi was good.Fully equipped with amenities. While it is well-connected to other cities, there is no night life near the hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms (above 36th floor) have a better view.

It has great location where access to tourist bus (Me-guru) local bus stops are easily accessbile, on top of train tracks, going everywhere, I imagine. Restaurants n shops are on different floors n adjacent building. Parking facility is available as well.

Service is good. A tourist information centre is located at train station, ground floor, if you head towards the main Nagoya station entrance, you will see the signboard easily. There is convenient store among other gorgeous restaurants too, if needed.

Room Tip: Our room-2818 is facing the building side, but have good view of Nagoya city. Not a problem at all...

Hard to argue with Trip Advisor's ranking of this hotel. In a great location (atop a huge train station). A 30 minute easy train ride from the airport. Wonderful selection of restaurants, including a huge breakfast buffet in the lobby restaurant with a great view of the city (on the 15th floor of the hotel). Impeccable service and attentive staff (one of whom knew just where an international ATM was located in the train station). And the price was not out of line for this kind of luxury hotel in Japan.

Convenient hotel location ~ right above Nagoya Station, comfortable room ~ even with an extra bed which was also extremely comfortable, excellent view ~ with a room that high, the view's bound to be magnificant! High housekeeping standard ~ never miss replenishing anything, helpful concierge ~ helped restaurant-reservation before our arrival, friendly front-reception ~ prompt check-in & check-out, our train departure was at 14:20, we requested late check-out at 14:00 & was granted 13:00 ~ although not perfect, but still helpful. My husband left his i-Pad on the plane before arriving the Hotel, the Hotel helped to call the Airline & found it.
