This is a very good hotel with excellent service.
located next to or better inside the shinkansen station, no need to go outside.
service is at top level.
rooms are spatious for japanese standards, a little old style but there is all you need and the bed is very very good.

The only negative point I could find is the price of the breakfast buffet, although you can eat all you want, 2900 yen is on the high end.

Room Tip: Rooms on high floors will give a nice view of Nagoya

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here, (which S booked directly following 2 nights of sleeping on the floor in a traditional Ryokan -- he's a very wise man). It has, as the reviews have all stated, the undeniable advantage of being connected to the major train station, so coming & going, both to arrive, leave, and enjoy day excursions -- it's all a breeze. The huge Takashimaya Dept store is also connected, and it's interesting to stroll these shops, or easy to pick up something you might need. It's a beautiful hotel, the rooms are nicely done and are well-suited to American visitors to Japan, including a desk, make-mirror & bureau, and the bathroom is very modern with beautiful granite tops and a great soaking tub / separate shower. We found the staff to be ever-so-polite, I love that the "bus boys" who take your luggage for you are not boys at all, but are itty-bitty (adorable) Japanese gals. The breakfast buffet was a welcome delight (remember, we just came from a Ryokan in Ito where the food was -- well -- very Japanese.), serving both western and local cuisine. And the view from the breakfast room is amazing! We had an enjoyable stay here, and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: The rooms here start on floor 16 -- plenty high enough for a great view

Marriott chain of hotels has nothing but the very best.. and Nagoya Marriott has lift up to its reputation as well. The hotel is above a very big shopping centre which makes shopping very easy for people like me who likes to put my things back into the hotel after a few stops...

The room was spacious and so is the toilet. It has a separate shower and bath tub area and comes with lots of amenities.... It is also near the train station. I only have one phrase for it! "I will be back!"

The breakfast spread for sumptuous too! It has a good spread of both japanese and continental breakfast!

Room Tip: The rooms starts from 16th floor onwards, so it is quite a good view....

June 2014 was my second stay at the Nagoya Marriott Associa and it was just as good the second time around. This is an excellent facility. It offers a plethora of dining and shopping opportunities inside the facility and in the mall next door. The mall and train station is accessible without ever having to leave the building. It is convenient to get anywhere in Nagoya or in catching the train to travel elsewhere. The staff is exceptional and is extremely customer service friendly. However, I wish I could say the same for UPS which messed-up shipping packages to me to Japan but the staff handled the mistakes very well and offered their assistance in a polite and professional manner.

The views of Nagoya from this hotel are exceptional!

The lobby is exquisite! The rooms well suite to American travelers in Japan. Unfortunately, like most Japanese hotels, the offering on television for English speaking stations is a bit lacking. However, I am sure there are more English speaking television networks in Japan than Japanese speaking networks in American hotels for those traveling here from Japan.

All in all...GREAT hotel and location.

the hotel is located just above Nagoya JR stationi which is directly from Centrair airport, Osaka, Tokyo, Kyushu, almost everywhere by train.
No worry about delaying to catch the train because of car traffic jam, rain, or any other troubles because the train is just above the hotel.

The hotel itself looks very gorgeous, amenity, and services are just perfect.

also easy to enjoy shopping and go sight seeing in Nagoya area because the hotel is right in central of Nagoya.

Room Tip: do not hegitate to choose the higher floor because the view is very nice and if you choose cheaper r...

Situated above Nagoya station, the hotel is literally three minutes by foot from the airport train platform. Even with large suitcases we had no problem getting to and from the hotel to station.

Within the same building is the Takashimaya department store and there are plenty of restaurants so finding something to eat is no problem at all.

Rooms are big in Japanese standard, the bathroom is huge and plenty of amenities, including body moisturizer and skincare products which is uncommon but very useful. Wi-Fi is free which should be adopted by all hotels!

Breakfast was great. Plenty of choices providing both Japanese and Western foods.

Staff members were helpful and although not fluent, spoke enough English to communicate without too much problem.

The hotel is located right on top of Nagoya train station making it super convenient to take the train to and from the Nagoya airport. It is also connected to Takashimaya via the underground tunnels which has a must-see Basement 1 where there are countless small stores selling all kinds of Japanese treats and snacks! The rooms are big compared to other lower-star hotels nearby and they are clean with updated bathrooms. Service, like most places in Japan (I think), is excellent, with people greeting you as you approach the reception, asking you if you are checking in or out and directing you to the nearest available counter.
I originally asked for a crib but was notified by email that the cribs they have were unsafe for babies who are already able to stand, so I decided that I did not need one since I had brought my own pack-and-play. It was good that they asked first though.
They also informed me beforehand via email that my request for an early check-in at around 11am was only possible if I was willing to pay for an extra day, which I wasn't. In the end, I arrived after 2pm anyway so it worked out fine for me.
There was also free wifi in the vicinity of the hotel.
Price is definitely not as low as other nearby hotels, but I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, very pleased with my two-night stay with my one-year-old baby.
