Stayed here on a business trip. Location was fantastic, right on top of the train station. Sound proofing was fantastic, perhaps helped by the fact that I was on the 45th floor. Certainly could not hear the neighbours going about their business, like in many other hotels, especially in the United States. Room was not huge, but good sized by Japanese standards. Bathroom was great, with a bath tub overlooking the city! Service was excellent as per usual Japanese standards. Concierge was super-helpful. Wifi was free and available everywhere, at high speed. However one inconvenience was that the gym, health club and pool could only be accessed by a special elevator in the same floor as the lobby. Otherwise it is a great hotel that I will return to if I need to come to Nagoya again.

A joy on our train tour of Japan.

Great location over the train station(really important for us coming from Hakone), the hotel is so high you have wonderful views of Nagoya.
Staff were superb especially in the concierge lounge. My husband had left his ipad on the train from Hakone and the concierge rang the station to discover it was waiting for him in lost property at the next stop. We could not have managed this without that wonderful lady.

Our room was beautiful and clean, no smoking was a priority and the Japanese restaurant KA-UN served delicious food and yummy Aragoshi Umeshu(plum wine ).

We visited Nagoya castle which told an interesting tale and the Noritaki factory which had such a great variety of wonderful craft.

Only 1 night in Nagoya Marriott but one we'll remember before we headed to Hiroshima.

I would definately head for this hotel again. It's by far the highest I've stayed on the 25th floor.
The hotel is premium with brilliant service and everything you would expect in a top notch place but then the Japanese do even more and exceed all expectations.
Breakfast could take all day, be warned! There is so much to chose from you won't need to eat again all day!
The rooms are a little small but very comfortable, clean and quite perfectly fitted.
The views are right across the city, apart from when it's very cloudy of course.
The subway Tain station runs belw the hotel in the shopping mall, so easy access and convenient.
If you want to go anywhere else hop on the high speed train which stops outside the hotel.

Room Tip: The reception staff speak English, so ask them. Higher rooms are probably quietest.

Dear All,

This hotel's name is Marriot, but the level of service is LOW.
for my cousin and his wife, I brought a bottle of good wine to the restaurant, but the floor manager told me "not acceptable!"
I had never such experience and I was puzzled ....OK though, but how could he announce such in front of everybody? I was so ashamed.

Room Tip: このホテル内で食事を取ろうとか、ラウンジでくつろいでも不快な思いをする可能性が高いので、レストランやバーは別のほうがいいです。 If you dine or drink, never use the...

Used Marriott Rewards Points to book room so not surprised when given a small corner room - we struggled to find floor space to open the suitcase.
Room & bathroom were well equipped & clean. Although overlooking railway station noise was not a problem.
2 issued hacked me off. Charge of JPY 3,400 to use the pool & a cover charge of JPY 1,080 per person just to enter the bar on the top floor even
before you pay top dollar for a drink !

BEST hotel in Aichi Prefecture. Simply no doubt about that.
Location is really SUPER convenient. Located just ABOVE Nagoya interchange where it is all inter-link with many train lines, it is basically a hub.
Also around it boost a wealth of restaurant and the super big Takashimaya and Tokyu Hands where you can shop like crazy.

Hotels looks grand from the lobby to the rooms with cleanliness a top praising note to me.
Hotel is very clean and the bed is especially comfortable. Lying on it just makes me want to stay there and not move.

Toilet is big and depending on your luck, you might get a bathtub and standing shower or just a standing shower.
The toilet also boost a decent range of good quality amenities.

Spaciousness of the room is something to note about. Given its big space, you can literally have no worries to move around within the room or have your luggage put at anywhere you want.

OH, did I mention the breakfast too? They have a good variety of yummy breakfast which range from Japanese cuisine to International favourite such as eggs, waffles etc.

Definitely the hotel to stay, especially in Nagoya area.

Room Tip: Request for a room with good view and bathtub!

We chose this hotel for its convenience and the high ratings it has received in various reviews and social media. On the plus side, it would have to be one of the most conveniently located hotels we have ever stayed in, on top of Nagoya Station with access to some stunning food choices in the building, and handily located for anything you might want to do in Nagoya. It is also very well appointed, the staff are really helpful and the views incredible. On the down side, it is used for Japanese business. This means smoking – to the extent that we were placed in a smoking room on a smoking floor which meant the whole floor reeked of and was stained with cigarette smoke. This was despite my Marriott profile clearly listing “no smoking.” Make sure you request a no smoking room when you reserve accommodation and again check when you book in. To the hotel staff’s credit, they promptly found another room as soon as we discovered the error, but unless you are a smoker, beware. And the new floor still smelt of smoke and it was clear that people were actively smoking on it. The new room was great and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for and insist on no-smoking at reservation and check-in.
