This is quite a dazzling hotel - 52 stories - I stayed in the 38th floor - never stayed in a hotel that high up. Everything here was first rate. My only beef was the charge for Internet. I love the Japanese people - the most hospitable and gracious nationality I have ever encountered.

There is a saying in Asia that goes something like this... "you have not really been served until you go to Japan". The staff at Marriott take their guests seriously and treat them like kings and queens. Expect excellent customer service. Lobby is spaceous and tastefully decorated. Rooms are excellent.

Location wise- the hotel is built on top of the train station. So it is very convenient to take a train to anywhere in Japan.

Breakfast was excellent and they serve a wide variety.

Dinner at the sushi restaurant was equally good but very expensive. There is a shopping mall below the hotel. Go there for a huge selection of cuisine that runs from budget to extravagant.

Not much to add to my title except that it is the only place to stay if you are going to be using Japan's incredible train system. Everything is geared towards easy access, and when travelling with luggage, it makes such a difference to be close by the station.
Exceptional hotel. Many thanks

This hotel is just about perfect. Its maybe 30 feet from the exit of the Nagoya downtown train station. Fly into Central Japan Airport, take the train from the terminal to the Nagoya station and you dont even get wet if its raining. Forget the bus, the train costs less than $20 and its a 30 min ride on the train max . The rooms at the hotel were recently renovated and the club lounge upstairs had an omelette chef making free omlettes. The room was quiet and had a nice iron and board. I spent 2 weeks in Asia and this hotel was the most comfortable place that I stayed at.

Pros - Situated above the nagoya station, the hotel is ideal for those who intend to venture around nagoya city. Besides the takashimaya department store located beneath the hotel, there were also extensive underground stores for those looking for late night shopping. Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was especially scrumptious!
Cons - Nil

This hotel is perfect...located just above the Nagoya station and Takashimaya shopping centre. The rooms are spacious and for silver elite members the gym and internet are free! The staff are very polite and the gym is amazing! Don't stay anywhere else in Nagoya.

Travelled to Nagoya for business and stayed at the Executive Floor of the Associa Marriott. What a fabulous experience it was. The room was spacious, and the staff were most helpful and the Executive Lounge serves great breakfast (not to mention the great view). As most of the time were taken up by meetings, it was great to have the Takashimaya Department store and Tokyu Hand right next door to the hotel so I was able to fit some shopping in. (Can't go to Japan and not shop and Takashimaya is a most elegant department store with everything you need to buy. The hotel is elegant, and the Japanese restaurant on the 18th Floor serves excellent Nagoya cuisine. A hotel I definitely want to return to in Nagoya, even if not for business.
