We stayed here for one night. The hotel is located next to kanayama rail station and offered easy access to the airport. The room is spacious and comfortable. There are many food choices near the hotel.

Only one night here but it was very "Grand". Nice room, reasonable size for Japan with good view from the room and good views from other places on the level that we stayed on.
Staff very professional and friendly and helpful.
Well located adjacent to railway station and plenty of restaurants and cafes as well as shopping in close proximity.
Overall a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a high level as the views are great

We booked a 'king bed executive room' and it was a lovely indulgence, the room was HUGE and the bathroom was amazing. Not sure what the other rooms are like.

Staff were really friendly and helpful - not amazing but just a-ok.

Breakfast was 'ok' but not exceptional, we had been spoilt at previous hotel. Good coffee though (automatic espresso machine with real beans).

We found the location a bit 'so-so' as there wasn't that much food wise nearby. It's super close to the train station though which is a plus.

Perfect for the trains, rooms OK, service is unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. The food is expensive - there are many much better and more inviting restaurants nearby - but breakfast is good. The top floor bar has wonderful views, especially at night, and it has ice balls the size of a small moon!

The facilities are limited: no pool or gym for example.

I visited on business, and my colleagues reported that the wifi was slow at best :-( but I found the wired connection to be fine.

I would certainly this hotel again.

Room Tip: Lower floor and station side rooms are likely to be noisier - not everyone's cup of tea, unless...

For sheer convenience, the place to stay in Nagoya is the ANA Crown Plaza "Grand Court Nagoya" hotel. There is a direct link from Nagoya airport (Central Japan Airport) via Japan Rail's Meitetsu line to Kanayama Station in Nagoya (45 minutes) Trains are frequent.. Exiting the south entrance to the Kanayama Station, just bear to the right across the plaza and you'll find the side entrance to the Grand Court lobby. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Rate seemed reasonable for Nagoya -- we paid $175/night for the two of us in a queen bed room, no breakfast, though that is an option. (For breakfast we just bought stuff at the Family Mart across the street and stored cool items in the room's mini-bar 'frig.) Look around on the web for a good deal. From the 17th floor, we had a terrific day and night views of the city; the hotel is one of the taller buildings in Nagoya, making this view possible. Bottom line, we'd choose this hotel again for a return visit to Nagoya.
Tips: 1) If you're ready for a fix of American food, there's a Starbucks across the plaza, within sight of the hotel. 2) Outside Kanayama Station's north entrance is Asunal, a small three-tiered outdoor mall with several good restaurants and a Starbucks, Krispy Kreme and Baskin-Robbins! There's also a supermarket at the far end with a more complete selection of breakfast goodies. 3) The Nagoya/Boston Museum of Art can be accessed from within the hotel. (Boston is Nagoya's sister city.) 4) If you're arriving in Nagoya by Shinkasen (bullet train) or Japan Rail, you'll arrive at Nagoya station. You can easily transfer to the Kanayama station by Japan Rail (180 yen) or hotel by taxi (1300 yen).

Room is small and clean. Hotel staff was good and friendly. Very good spread for breakfast. A lot of varieties to choose from. Room might be small for others but I would say it is of acceptable size to me. It is comfortable but if you compare to other hotel, the room here is quite small
