This hotel is a specialty hotel situated up of the hill overlooking Atami sea. It has a cottage feel to it and rooms look like a lodge, rather than the futuristic modern feel. If you are looking for something homely and plain simple, this is good for you. I couldn't find any attractions in the surrounding areas where this hotel is located, so not much activities here other than the onsen provided and walks around the hotel. So one night was good enough for me. For attractions, one will need to go downhill to the city/train centers. A taxi ride from city center to hotel cost about Y1200. Difficult to get a taxi from hotel back to city center as this hotel is up in the hill. A regular bus service from hotel to city center cost about 320 per person.
The dinner and breakfast served were the standard Japanese cuisine and everyone were to sit together in a dining hall together for meals. Food was good. Free flow of rice and also free flow of alcohol but for a limited period of time.
Individual rooms have toilet and bath provided and was clean. Towels big and small were provided as well as toothbrush and paste. Yokata was available but for a small rental fee.
Nice if you want to getaway from the high tech city areas. Good for old couples, small families and group of friends. But not ideal for young couples intending for a honeymoon getaway because there's nothing much in the surrounding areas and the room walls and doors were quite thin. It's just a lodge after all.
