Location is Great. 2 minutes from the Hakodate Station 2 minutes to the Morning Market !
2 minutes to the Tram that will take you to other attractions !
Can't Beat That !

Staff was Friendly and Helpful.

In the pictures and in the night the hotel looks beautiful and modern but in reality it's in need of am update . It's Clean but basic and it's good value for the money !

Great hotel to see the sights etc but not particularly romantic .

Clean and cosy no frills hotel with complimentary DHC products for you to indulge. Hotel location is excellent as it is across the JR station and of walking distance to the famed fish market. It was also very close to the Toyota car rental service center (in case, you need a ride to discover the coastline of hakodate) Convenient shops are within 200m radius from the hotel.

loved the breakfast buffet :) there's a chef who cooks your omurice freshly for you, and you can dtand tere and watch it being cooked. but there's no hot chocolate (it seems hot chocolate is not very famous among jap hotels) the rooms are normal size, not very big. too bad there's no onsen in the hotel.

We booked two double rooms for one night. The price was very reasonable and the location was great. It was right next to the morning market, very close to the tram and main train station. The rooms were comfortable. I would stay here again

We were lucky to get rooms at the height of Golden Week and found them tiny, though reasonably comfortable and well located, a short walk from the railway station and adjacent the Morning Market, a 'must' for any visitor to Hakodate.

Our only quibble, as non-smokers, was that the only rooms available at the time were smoking rooms and hence, a little smelly, though the aircon and open window went some way to alleviate the problem.

Room Tip: Try for a non-smoking room as the smoking rooms can be a little smelly.

This hotel is just three minutes walk from Hakodate station, it also near morning market. But there are many hotel also in that location. The Loisir staff are not friendly, they can't speak English too. I won't stay in this hotel again in my next visit to Hakodate

Excellent points for
#1. Location. The closest hotel to the JR train station. Taxi line up starts in front of this hotel. It takes only less than 3 minutes walk from Jr station to the hotel.
#2. Entrance has luxurious looks with the marbles and glass walls. It was lined with live tall cherry blossom branches,
#3. Front desk and housekeeping staff were helpfull, courteous and efficient.
#4Our room had a Jr station and city view. We saw Princess Cruiseship in a distant harbor
#5.Breakfast Buffet ---in a very large dining room facing JR station. This side had floor to the ceiling windows which gave refreshing looks in the morning. Tables and Chairs were contemporary design and good quality and comfortable. This was the only hotel where they put two different coffee/hot water machines, I enjoyed espresso machine ,I also, used Cappucino machine ,. At the end ,I pour Cappucino over espresso and it was heavenly.. There were several selection of juices.Chef was behind the counter and cooked made to order eggs. There were many types of egg dishes on the buffet too. There were 3 sections of Buffet displays. Western style,Japanese style and Hokkaido specialty. I liked Tofu made by the hotel chef!!
Now the negative side. Room had a free WiFi. A small refrigerator, desk and 2 chairs. Double bed is very small. If you are Japanese size, the bed will be OK. But it would be impossible to accommodate two people each weighing over 170 pounds, Bathroom was large had a very deep bathtub and good powerful shower.

Room Tip: Mt Hakodate view or Jr station view ?? I think both views are good. Double bed size is narrower than...
