This place has one of the best services is ever experienced, it has a view of the ocean from my room and the onsen bath which is really nice. The food was generally really good with the exception of one or two dishes in the two nights I've stayed there but with more than 5 exceptional ones that's simply amazing. It's close to airport but further away from city (a 20 min car ride to downtown where there are more tourist stuff to do) it is a great experience overall.

Stayed only one night to continue the Ryokan experience. Probably one of the most expensive but food was exquisite and the room absolutely typical Ryokan and overlooking the sea. Although unusually there was a very small separate western style sitting area screened from main room. Only a toilet and wash basin in room - bath was common use. The indoor and outdoor spa baths are on first floor and again follow the typical Ryokan regime. What puts the all inclusive price up (and it is a very high price at Y30K pppn) is the food, dinner and breakfast. Stayed the previous night in another Ryokan only a 50m walk away (no views) called Ichinomatsu, which was a bit cheaper (but still expensive) where food just as good; although experience was equal the fact that personal service was by a friendly English (albeit limited) speaking person made a difference and would recommend ahead of Wakamatsu, which seemed more for business on expense accounts or treats.
