“Great transit hotel”
Reviewed 20 March 2010

Stayed here one night while flying back from the U.S. to Southeast Asia. Thought I was going to have a rough time because the airline I used didn't check my checked bags all the way through, but it worked out well.

When you get to Narita, go to platform 16 and wait for the free shuttle bus. The driver is very helpful in loading / unloading all your bags (as is the staff) before and after the 15 minute trip, which runs every 20/30/60 minutes depending on the time of day. Check-in was a breeze.

The hotel room itself is nothing great, but it was more than adequate for a single night. My wife and infant son had plenty of room to move around in, and it was much cheaper for a room of comparable size in Tokyo. The room was clean with a decent channel selection, though the TV was small.

One of the nice things about the hotel is that they run a free shuttle to Narita town. Its actually fairly large. The shuttle stops at the main train station and the Aeon mall before returning to the hotel. My wife and I ate dinner at the Aeon mall, which is a decent sized mall with food options for everyone. We also went to the supermarket and other stores there and bought souvenirs much cheaper than the airport or the hotel. People complain about the price of food at the hotel, but a much better deal can be had if you go to the mall. It was a nice taste of Japan for our one night.

The complimentary breakfast was terrific. Huge buffet and the food was good.

Checkout was quick and easy, with no billing problems. Once again, great help from the staff in getting my luggage on and off the free shuttle to the hotel.

Overall, this hotel does what its designed to do quite well. Terrific staff, convenient shuttles from the airport and into town, and we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is fine, although the rooms looked like they could use some refurbishment.
The food is fine (very good katsu curry), but very expensive @ Yen $4,400 per person for dinner?
I thought the reception staff were rude when I checked in... but perhaps it was just the one person. At check out, it was fine.
There is nothing within walking distance unless you catch a bus / train to Tokyo city or the local shopping centre... therefore this hotel is only ideal if it is at the end of a long trip and you need the space to pack your bags and fly off.
I also found it strange that they charged me 4 times on the internet, although the amounts were small at Yen 126 each, perhaps they charge each time a phone or blackberry connects to the hotel paid internet as an extra item??

Airport hotels, clearly best avoided but from time to time a necessary evil. In the case of Tokyo, the long schlep from downtown to Narita neceesitated an overnight stay. Did I expect much, no, did I get much in the way of a surprise, no? The love of beige predominated and the room had the characteristic residual aroma of long extinguished cigarettes (a non-smoking room obviously). Bathroom adequate but towels measured in centimetres rather than metres and showing some wear.

Health club seemed adequate and pool a decent length. Those ultra clean Japanese want to make sure no dirty foreigners make it to the water and an automatic shower gives you a good and cold drenching before you get poolside. The Onsen area was pretty busy with locals and foreigners, many of whom seemed intent on making new overnight friends to while away the time until the next morning.

Didn't have dinner as put off by the "all you can eat buffet" ad in the lift. At breakfast, this was clearly a challenge that many people seem inclined to accept. The swarms were devouring everything in their path and piling it high in expectation of a poor airline experience. Most perplexing were the svelte Korean air crew who were eating as if expecting to be ditched in North Korea but perhaps they only "go locust" sporadically.

All in all, I found the whole experience quite interesting and resolved that the extra time from the splendours of the Okura or the Mandarin would be justified in any future trip. The sybaritic pleasure of ANA's first class cabin to New York was a necessary and perfect antidote.

Stayed one night here after a late arrival at Narita airport. Got a reasonable rate through an online promotion, so was well worth it. Wouldn't have paid full price, however.

Room was nice and spacious. Plenty of TV channels to choose from (Japanese with one or two English), and a nice view of the mountains. Free shuttle bus from airport, which was very convenient. Lobby has an AM/PM convenience shop too, which was open until fairly late.

The breakfast was fantastic - Japanese, English, Continental. Everything from bacon to natto to bread to cheese to miso soup and everything else in between. Lovely way to get started!

Also, free hourly shuttle bus to Narita train station for getting trains into central Tokyo. Again, very useful!

I have used this hotel as a landing point and sanctuary.
*Expensive, but well worth it! (Use points if you want to save big time)
*Friendly, efficient staff
*Excellent Room Service Menu
*Super close to Narita Airport
*Nice fitness center
*Conveinence store onsite with large selection
*Excellent breakfast- buck up for the full-meal deal.

BONUS: A lot of the Singapore Airlines staff stay here... my goodness, they are the most beautiful and elegant looking women you'll ever see!

This hotel was fine as a base at the airport coming home. The Narita Express train form Tokyo and shuttle bus services were quick and efficient, as you'd come to expect in Japan.
The hotel had massive rooms, part buffet 3 course dinner and buffet breafast with lots of choice.
If you've got to stay at the airport, you can't do much worse than this.

Conveniently located to hotel. Nothing else to do around here though. I requested late checkout, the best they could do was midday. Disappointing when you think how many commuter don't arrive til well into the evening. The food was great with some good deals if you dine early. Breakfast, overpriced but a good selection. All in all, a treat to finish a month long trip to my favourite country in the world!
