This is a great place for a drive in the country and a pancake breakfast. It is only open from around Valentines Day until around Easter. Roughly when the sap is running. They make their own maple syrup on premises. You get all you can eat buckwheat pancakes. As side dishes you can order sausage, ham, eggs, and a few deserts.

We came in with a party of 8 and only waited about 20 to 30 minutes because, it's a busy place. 7 of us order the family meals (Never ending pancake as long as someone is eating them) and one ordered different than the rest. The one that order different than the rest than to eat all the left overs........ Man did she get fill. We all enjoyed our meals, lots to eat and our waitress was great and right there at our table and others around us. We would do it again too!

Each year we drive out to the Maple Tree in for our yearly fix of all you can eat Buckwheat pancakes, Wilson sausage and Cartwright maple syrup! Even though we know the lines may be long, it's always worth the wait. Besides the good food, the opportunity to honor such a great family who has loves their craft and are willing to share it with us is a real treat.

If you are anywhere nearby mid Feb to mid April you will have to visit. Only one type of pancake served, but they are amazing. The lines move swiftly so don't be put off by a long one. All eight of our adult group were impressed with the meal. Says something about buckwheat pancakes. They keep them coming until you have to finally have to say stop.

It may be in the middle of nowhere and it's only open from mid-Februrary to the beginning of April, but this is a yearly pilgrimage that EVERYONE should take. They make their own maple syrup and have the best buckwheat pancakes around. In addition, all the meat is from a local supplier (Wilson Beef Farms). You'll NEVER have a bad experience here. It's definenitly worth the 1hr long wait in the freezing cold that you'll probably have to sit through
