Alright for a 1 night stay. For a family of 4, there are 2 single beds and 2 futons. The futons are not thick & comfortable enough. The location is abit far in from the Yumoto Station, but a pleasant walk next to streams. No Wifi in room, only in hotel lobby.

Although the price is high the experience is worth it! Easily accessible from the Hakone-Yumoto train station, it is 10 min walk from it and the hotel also offers a shuttle bus every hour.
We get the package with traditional Japanese room and breakfast. The room was extremely big as for Japan and they give us a yukata to wear in the hotel. They prepared the tatami for us at night and the breakfast was a real feast with lots of typical Japanese food, a delight!!!
The hotel has his own onsen you can use the whole day. There is also an open air onsen, but unfortunately it was closed when we were there.
The hotel staff, even not speaking a word of English, was lovely and very helpful.
There are some interesting activities in the area a part from the onsen and relaxing.

Booked the tatami style room with breakfast & dinner. Great food (almost too much :P - check-in hungry!), extremely friendly service from arrival to departure. It was a little expensive but for the experience & a one-time splurge, it's well worth the money.

Some things worth nothing, it's a pleasant 10 mins walk to the town's main Yamato Train station or if you've got many bags, take a shuttle bus (right across from the station) that'll cost you 100 yen / person / way. This shuttle isn't covered by the Hakone Day Pass btw.

Great central location to explore Hakone but if you intend to goto Gotemba Premium Outlets from here - give yourself 1 1/2 - 2 hours travelling time by bus.

Room Tip: Pick the tatami style room for a complete experience... don't count too much on the in-room Onse...

Stop in Hakone for one night. From Hakone Yamato Station took Ryokan shuttle busA 100Y each or 15 minutes walk. We left the bags and went to all the ropeway, cable car, ferry and bus back to hotel for check-in. The lady who looked after us is very sweet and ensured we enjoy all the traditional food. The set up for dinner and breakfast is really beautiful.
Also use Onsen for that evening and the morning. Check their time table for the open air one. In the morning, managed to jog along the water from hotel to the bus station behind all the street and big hotels, beautiful.
I am glad we did not book other hotel because we would spend hours looking for the place. The town has so many popular areas of hotel. And for Senkai Ryokan I found it is one of the most convenient places.

After check-out we put the bags at the locker at the train station and went to Yunnessun for hot spring kind of water park. Then heading to Kyoto.
Book the Romance train from Shinjuku; Odakyu Travel2F. Seat reserved and get the 2days Hokone pass for all the rides.

Room Tip: Be aware of mosquito at the waiting area of the onsen.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights we booked the traditional type breakfast and dinner were served in our room. The food served were fantastic and fresh. A dedicate staff was being assigned to take care of us for breakfast and dinner. Ms Kimiko was really nice and sincere when learning that my friend's birthday was next day she specially folded some paper cranes for my friend.

Though, it cost nothing but her sincerity touched us. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon in Japan. We had a very nice and very large traditional room with balcony and beautiful view. The staff was very polite and welcoming and the meals were also beautiful (and tasty).
We were very happy here! Only the price is on the high side.

We travelled to Hakone with friends and after a great day, needed a place to crash before heading on to Takayama (hence, we didn't want to go back to Tokyo that night).

This hotel was the cheapest available to us and was fine. The rooms were quite big (for Japanese standards) and the staff quite friendly. There is an ok-ish ramen place at the hotel where you can get a meal for around 800 yen each.

The onsen are not the best in Hakone, but are adequate if a bit old. Anyway, we didn't come to Hakone for the onsen (as many do, but given that my wife was pregnant she couldnt use them anwyay) and so this place was a decent option for us.

You can take shuttle bus A there from Yumoto station, just tell the driver Hotel Senkei, and pay 100 yen. In the morning, there were no shuttles but it was only a 10 minute walk to the station (very easy to find, get a map at reception).

All in all, if on a budget, this hotel is a good option.
