“A pleasant walk through scenic grounds”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

If you are doing the Hakone loop, then this is worth adding in.
It is an easy walk along the lakeside, and as others have mentioned gives some great views of Mount Fuji on a clear day.
Our trip was in December, so I can only imagine how much more beautiful it could be with blooming flowers etc, but even in the depths of winter this was a lovely country walk.

“Great park!”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

This is an awesome park that's between the Hakone Checkpoint and the Hakone Detached Palace. There's a cedar path that brings you here and another cedar path that leads you out. Once inside the park, you can marvel at its beauty and find the spot labeled as "top 100 views of Mt. Fuji" to see if you can spot the hiding mountain. Towards the edge of the park, you can also climb down 200 flight of stairs (I didn't count it; it's what the sign said) and see one of the top bridges in the area (that's also what the sign said). Then you can make your merry way to Motohakone.

“Great Fuji view point”
Reviewed 10 December 2012

The view from this point should be the best from lake ashino, depends on weather condition. This park is not big and it's good for morning walk, you can enjoy fresh air and natural environment. Beware of the strong wind at the top of the park. You can enjoy the full lake view.

“Nice Botanical Garden”
Reviewed 22 June 2012

Its just off one of the staions on the Tramway, lovely flowers and photoops.
You can have a nice cup of coffee in a chalet like restaurant within the gardens, and amidst lovely flowers.
Highly recommeded
