The Okada Museum of Art is very new in Hakone Kowakudani and opened only about a month ago (Autumn, 2013). It featured a collection of beautiful ceramics, scrolls, paintings, etc from Japan, China, and Korea by Kazuo Okada. Even if you are not a collector you will be impressed by the displays arranged artfully on 5 floors. Then you can rest your legs in a long foot bath outside of the museum. This is a very nice addition to all of the many museums one can visit in Hakone. We recommend it highly. No cameras allowed as with most museums.
