“A Premium hotel with a reasonable rate”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

As a businessman I travel to Japan often for business as well as pleasure. Japan is known to have a large variety of hotel available so I been able to explore many hotels. The reason I decided to write a review on Richmond is not just the exceptional service, cleanliness of the rooms, spacious accommodation or the prestigious look of the hotel. Its all lf this but with a price of what I would pay for a standard hotel. You can be looking at a large room with a massage chair, Internet, breakfast, king size bed with a rate of around $120 per night... I highly recommend this hotel for anybody visiting japan whether its for business or pleasure. Thank Richmond hotel staff for always making my stay always enjoyable.

Room Tip: Recommend the Premier rooms with the massage chair. Their morning breakfast is great. Clear day you...

When we visit my son in Musashi-Kosugi, we stay here. Three trips and never a problem! The views are great, the cleaning staff is meticulous, the front desk is efficient, and the rooms are just right for one or two persons. Plenty of good dining within walking distance. Great access to both Tokyo and to Yokohama (among other places). You can get directly here from Narita Airport via the Narita Express (fast and cheap!).

Great value hotel near Musashi Kosugi station. A business hotel with Western comforts. This "premier" hotel is a step above the standard Richmond hotel. They have a superb breakfast buffet. As expect room is small but well equipped. An excellent value for this location.

I stay at the Richmond Hotel Premier Musashikosugi few times a year since its opening. In my most recent stay, I check-in early in the morning to find the room allocated to be on the 6th floor which I was not too happy about. I was informed that a higher floor room will only be available later and advised to check-in first to take a rest. When I returned in the evening after a day out, I was pleasantly greeted with a room that has a good view. In fact on a clear day, you can even see Mt Fuji in the distance.

The shopping experience in the vicinity of the hotel has improved tremendously over the last 2 years. There is Tokyu Square and now Lala Terrace where many of the well known Japanese brands are housed. One cannot no longer complain about lack of F&B facilities nearby. The supermarket in Lala Terrace is a joy to browse and prices of cooked food are discounted near closing time. So you can enjoy a good cheap bento box in the comfort of the hotel room.

If one uses the Tokyo International Airport Terminal at Haneda, the airport bus stop is just 2 minute walk from the hotel. And of course Narita Express stops at the station just behind the hotel.

Pros: Clean and quiet rooms. Hotel is just around the corner of the Narita Express railway station. Decent breakfast buffet serves Asian and Western tastes.
Cons: No drawers or closets for your stuff.

Room was on the 11th floor, elevators were very fast.
It is a bit unusual to heve reception at the 5th floor and not on the ground floor.
Room was very clean and comfortable, internet access worked great.
Breakfast was diverse and very good.

Room Tip: Everything was great.

I have styed at the Richmond hotel twice. Location couldn't be better - just a short walk to Musashi Kosugi station. There is quite a lot of industry in this area, so it is a very convieneint place.
Rooms are small, but this IS Japan, so I don't consider this too much of an issue. Western style, Clean, comfortable, and excellent service. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is a mixture of Japanese and European flavours, and is more than adequate. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and also a couple of supermarkets.

I'd definitely stay here again
