We had a delightful stay at the Kawasaki International Center hotel! We booked the suite on the third floor. It had many windows with a beautiful view of the Kawasaki City skyline at night, and the center's activity by day. (From our room, we watched a yoga class practicing outside in the morning!) The surrounding residential neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful, even with a Lawson's convenience store across the street. This made for a very restful stay for us, and the other business travelers whom we encountered at the hotel.
The suite was spacious, clean, and welcoming! We have stayed in several nice hotels in Japan, and this was one of the most spacious rooms we have experienced! The room included two twin beds, a sofa, an armchair, a long coffee table, a desk, a flat screen TV, a wired LAN connection for internet access, a wash-closet with a toilet and sink, and a separate shower room with a tub for optional use. We enjoyed the hot water heater and the matcha green tea powder in the morning. The beds were firm but good for the back! We brought a Pack & Play for our infant son, and he slept very calmly with all of the space in the room.
If you have the opportunity, check out the restaurant on the basement floor for Breakfast. It, too, provides many windows and a beautiful, picturesque view of the bamboo forest on the center's grounds! The food was just enough of a quantity for a delicious, healthy, balanced Japanese/Western breakfast. The waitress was quick, efficient, and friendly!
The best part of our stay, however, was the world-class service we received at the front desk. The clerks at check-in and check-out were kind, courteous, and helpful. They all had a great command of English, which is always reassuring to guests from outside Japan. They truly made their best effort to make our stay memorable, relaxing, and enjoyable. The staff certainly succeeded, and we hope many other travelers will consider this gem of a hotel in Kawasaki.
