My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights as we wanted to have the traditional, ryokan experience.
Upon arrival Hiromi showed us around and then brought us to our room. Hiromi provided us with information about Yokohama and Kamakura as well as information on how to travel to both cities.
Unfortunately the day of our arrival I was unwell and my partner came down with the same thing the following day. As such, we were unable to do any sightseeing and instead slept for most of our time at the ryokan. The staff however were wonderful, they provided us a humidifer for our room, made me ginger tea for my throat and offered to get us medicine.
It really was a wonderful experience despite our being sick. Staying here is a much more personable experience than a hotel, and the beauty of the ryokan speaks for itself. My favourite aspect was definitely the Japanese bath, it was bliss. We were the only guests during our stay so we had no noise issues and always had a private bath, I cannot say a bad thing about it. We had the Japanese style breakfast everyday and it was delicious and plentiful.
If you are after a traditional ryokan experience I highly recommend this place, the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go above and beyond will bring us back.More
