Stayed for 3 nights. If you are in Yokohama for meeting, this is the best place. Local metro station is nearby. in the Remember to ask for a 'room with a view". And, if you are arriving early morning, unless an early check in was asked for - you could be keep waiting till noon for the room. Don't expect too much of service, then you won't be disappointed!.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with harbor view

Found the hotel easily from the train station which was a bonus, the rooms were very big with a welcome sofa which is the first one we had seen all week. The only down side to this hotel was the total lack of help we received from the reception staff. We had some issues with the ATM machines, their attitude was very much 'tough' and 'nothing to do with us' this didnt help when we couldnt withdraw money and didnt know where the bank was. The guy at the front desk basically just laughed, not happy with that reaction. Maybe it was just a one off bad experience but didnt make our stay in Yokohama a happy one. Great location for Cosmoworld and Landmark Tower though.

Stayed 2 nights in January.
Convenient located next to the train station. Area nearby was modern and pleasant with many shops and restaurants. Room was very small and basic. Bathroom was normal Japanese size. View was very good facing the harbour especially in the evening. Breakfast was good. Friendly reception.
Only one electric socket which was rather inconvenient to charge more than 1 item.

Was put here for a conference again and didn`t think it could be any worse.

Hotel staff hasnt learned any more english

Though they still do not offer wifi you can rent a router to connect wirelessly in your room. I did ask about this in advance, and was told no WiFi in hotel still. I basically traveled with a laptop for no reason--for 500 yen, you now can connect

The rooms have been reoriented, so there is the slightest bit more room.

The room was dirty--peeling wallpaper--dirty wall paper dirty windows, etc The bedspread gives me the heebie Jeebies

The breakfasts are ample, but a small note, if you are here for several days, it would be nice if there were some variation--anything

That people see this as a value hotel is amazing--it might be cheap, but you get so little for your money

On the positive side, on a clear day, I did see Mt Fuji

Room Tip: Stay across the way at a different hotel!

I spent two nights at the Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington hotel, just after New Years. My room rate was about $125 USD per night (plus taxes), though I booked on rather short notice and chose a slightly upgraded Semi-Double room. I'd imagine it could be done a fair amount cheaper if you plan ahead.

I made the decision to go with a Semi-Double room not because of wanting extra space, but because it offered a bay view. It is crazy to expect anything but extremely tight quarters no matter what size room you upgrade to, that is just the reality of travel in Japan. However, the bay view was well worth the extra money (see pictures).

As well as the view, the location was unbeatable. It is a literal stone's throw from Sakuragicho station (if you have a strong arm and aerodynamic rock). And there is quite a bit of entertainment to be found nearby (Minato Mirai 21, a couple great microbreweries/taproom, etc.).

My only knock on the hotel is that the pillows were some kind of bean bag pellet style, and were not very comfortable. Still, I had a very pleasant stay and found the staff and all the amenities (outside of the pillows) to be excellent.

Pictures of the room and it's view are attached to this review. Feel free to contact me if there are other questions that aren't answered in this review.

Room Tip: The Bayview rooms are worth every extra penny you might spend! The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor...

Room was quite small as walking space and luggage to unpack is quite a challenge when comes to 2 person for a double bedroom. But the location is really good as accessible to many places within Yokohama.
