I am a tour operator who made a booking on behalf of my client who requested this hotel in Japan. Since November 2013 I have been emailing and calling to confirm the reservation which has been paid already but NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH IN THE WHOLE HOTEL. This is pathetic for an International Hotel and you cannot even communicate with anybody. Will most definitely never ever book any of my clients at this hotel again.

We stayed here for 2 nights stay at Camelot. It is located on the ‘western’ side of Yokohama sta. and can be reached within 10 mins. If one uses the underground walkway, just approach the west gate and exit by south #11 and #12. From the exterior the hotel is actually just beside the Metropolitan Expressway Flyover.

The front desk staff speaks good English and display good hospitality and customer service! The room is cleaned well daily and fresh linens were supplied. The room size is considered good for Japanese rooms. However the bed is ‘harder’, the futon bed which Japanese loved. Overall quite good amenities, except that wire-wifi is not free. :<
The underground arcade (The Diamond) has many shops, cafes and restaurants for all budgets so meal options is abundant. For supper one can get much good bargain from Takashimaya basement food stores just before they close daily at 8pm.
It definitely serves as a good and reasonably priced stay-place upon which one can explore Yokohama.

A tip: use the ‘overhead bridge’ which flanks opposite Sheraton Bay Hotel using the lift and you’ll be at Yokohama Sta. in no time. :>

We just returned from a nine night stay at Camelot. Yes, the location could not be better- if you need a train, subway, or bus, it's all there at the big station next door. (At the station, just ask at the information "i" booth next to where you get tickets and they will help you get where you need to go.)Also the underground mall has tons of shops and restaurants for all budgets.
We enjoyed several meals at the nice Italian bistro restaurant at the very front of the hotel. They had a pizza with a delicious delicate crust for $7, and other food was good and reasonably priced, too. We enjoyed the high ceilings, cool air conditioning, and spacious interior, as most other restaurants in the area feel crowded and a big clostrophobic.
The front desk was extremely attentive to our every request. Most speak some English, but if they do not understand what you need, they quickly find their English speaking front desk man, who understands English well. We have never stayed anywhere with better customer service!
The room was cleaned very well every day and fresh linens were supplied daily. The room size is quite small by US standards, but it is average for Japanese rooms. There's not a closet per se, just a bar to hang clothes. Security is not an issue and we didn't worry one bit about leaving valuables in the room.
Also, the bed was harder than we are accostomed to in the US, but we stayed at another hotel in Japan, and it was the same hardness. The pillows were nice and comfy.
We would recommend this hotel as a good reasonably priced "base camp" to return to at the end of a day exploring the areas many attractions.

Room Tip: Inquire about the room size before you go, so you know what you're getting.

We stayed there with my family just a few days ago. the location of the hotel can't get better. it's just five minutes walk from the yokohama station (the west gate). the room we picked was twin, as we had our baby with us. the room was suffocatingly small, as the distance between the end of the bed and the wall was very small that our luggage would hardly fit in that space, and give us some free way to move around. The staff was helpful and although we haven't requested for the baby cot at the reservation, they provided us some border and applied to one bed. Breakfast was very poor as far as the variety is concerned. Although we requested for a non-smoking room we were put in a smoking one and we realized a little late to ask to be moved. Last, the access to the reception is really inconvenient if you enter by the main entrance, as there is no elevator to take you to the reception.

Excellent location, easy to find, so close to Yokohama main train station. Perhaps a bit over priced for quality... Not bad but needs some renovation to update it's look. Service is good (I needed an adaptor for both UK as well as mainland Europe and they readily supplied), beds comfortable, just a bit tired looking. No fitness centre (something I LOVE when available in hotels when away).
