A very grand Zen buddhist temple. This is a place of training and study of 'Zen' for young priests of the So-to denomination, one of the biggest buddhist group in Japan. A number of big halls and cathedrals in a vast area are maintained with the donation of the followers of the So-to Zen. The temple is opened to every one, not only for Zen buddist, and one may see the prayer ceremony by tens of training priests lead by high bishop, held in main hall a several times a day. I had some different feeling I have never experienced in the modern city of Japan.
