I walked from the base to take pictures at the park. Many beautiful flowers and arts aside from the historical ship and statue. I enjoyed very much walking around and taking pictures.

Very close to base, which was good, because I had to walk, and even by 10am, it was kraikee hot. Didn't do the ship tour, I'll save that for a cooler day, but walked through the park, nice shaded walkways, with some gardens and lots of fountains and waterways. Right on the ocean, with plenty of places to sit, view the scenery and relax. They also had an amphitheater, and being Sunday morning, some local musicians were playing, mostly rock, was fun listening for a bit. One difference I noticed, they had smoking areas placed throughout the park, I guess those are the only places it is permitted to smoke.

Went with my wife for a visit after check in at hotel. Able to catch a glimpse of the battleship that act as a mini museum and its water fountain that was on live show. As the park was near the sea, it was so windy. Just a place for plain relaxation and for a stroll.

The ship tour is pretty cool, but my favorite thing is just experiencing the park. Great for kids who will delight in the water fountain show.

We went on a weekend when there was a band playing on an assembled stage with a pretty decent crowd. The weather was lovely to sit on the embankment and watch the ships coming and going in and out of Tokyo bay with music playing the background. The fountains and water features were really impressive to. A nice spot to wander to and spend some time. An easy work from town
