Recently I had the misfortune of booking into this hotel. Due to a failure in the booking system of a certain Japanese travel agency I proceeded to re-book and pay for it. This was successful and in the months before I arrived there were no duplicate charges made to my Credit card so one would think all was fine.
I arrived to a very unfriendly reception by a man who in the course of the day costed me 2 hours of argument! This involved the travel agency, my family and me. He produced evidence that there was a failure in one of the bookings (payment details and surname not complete) yet took this to be an excuse to charge me with full knowledge that I had a pre-paid voucher. Most unpleasant man!
In the heated argument and confusion, I was asked to sign a fresh credit card voucher - that was my mistake, I should have challenged it. To cut a long story short, the travel agency refunded my money but as the currency exchange had gone down so I ended up paying more for the room plus all the transaction charges for 3 transactions on my credit card. Be wary of how bookings are made with some travel agencies too especially when things fail half way through a booking.
I would recommend the nearby hotels where the Reception is much friendlier and less greedy.More
