Our last few days in Japan were spent in Yuzan Guesthouse in Nara. This is a small guesthouse, located nearby the Nara train station. It's a very quiet, cozy place. I thought it was a very cute place overall. We booked the private room and slept on tatami mats on the ground. It was very comfortable, except the walls are extremely thin. The bathrooms were super basic but functional. The hotel provides a very standard breakfast for a charge (I wish this was free...) and it is about 15 minutes walking to Nara park. The staff was nice enough and there is free wifi in the building. So overall I enjoyed my stay here but I wouldn't stay longer than a few days.
