My husband and I went to this restaurant with some of his co-workers who we did not know very well. We were seated in a traditional Japanese table with our feet dangling under the table.
This restaurant specializes in local chicken dishes. Since I read a review in Japan Today who recommended chicken on sticks and the hot pot, we ordered those and some saki. Even though the staff did not speak English, they were able to figure out what we wanted. the chicken on sticks were very nice. Then we ordered two hot pots for six people, not realizing how big they were.
We started with three of us cooking the first at the table, trying to measure just when to add a new ingredient to the pot.. This was a fun experience which brought us all together in an activity. Later, the three other people cooked the second hot pot. The broth for the chicken and vegetables was very flavorful. The cost for the evening was not very expensive and very much worth the quality.
