The hotel is located near the main commercial streets and the attractions of this city. It's clean and, compared to many other hotels in Nara, is also cheap. Unfortunately the breakfast is poor in choice but for few nights this hotel is a good choiche

My wife and have stayed a night in Room #509 on from 18 September 2017.

The hotel location is excellent: It is above the Nara Kintetsu Train Station - 50 metres away from Exit 5. It is also very near to the shopping street. Thus, it is super convenient.

I believe the building is rather new as the building and its facilities are clean and well maintained.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room is not spacious, but we can still managed the space with 2 midsize luggage cases. It is very clean. We like the hard mattress and the pillows, of which both are of good quality.

The bathroom is tight, but it is very clean and well equipped.

We had our breakfast in hall beside the lobby at the ground floor. The breakfast is simple with limited varieties, but it is nice and home-cooked quality.

Overall, although it is a simple no-frill hotel, it is really value for money and we have had a pleasant stay in a safe and clean hotel that is centrally located. Strongly recommended.

We stayed in the Toyoko Inn for 3 nights during our stay in Nara.

The rooms are OK in size (typical small Japanese style). The hotel is clean and offers mainly limited Japanese style breakfast. But there are plenty alternatives and convenience stores close to the hotel.

It is located very central in walking distance from the Nara Park about 10min walk. (About 20min to the Todai ji Temple). Also a nice shopping street and the Naramachi area is only 10min walk away.

We had our car, there is a parking garage right next to the hotel, where you also get a good discount when you stay in the Toyoko Inn. The underground and central bus station are right in front of the hotel.

I had serious discussion with the reception as we did not want to have our room cleaned for two days in a row (we were repackaging our luggage on the second day). Basically you cannot stay in your room between 10am and 3pm when the rooms are cleaned (they clean all rooms at the same time). But only 1 day without cleaning is allowed. So I really had to argue for 10min before they accepted (with a big sigh). I was really disappointed that for a non issue like this I have to get aggrevated and argue.

The hotel is just steps away from the Kintetsu station, and about a ten minute walk from the JR station, making it a very convenient base for sightseeing. They have english speaking staff, and serve a simple breakfast every morning. The rooms are bare bones, and the beds are pretty consistently rock solid, though the pillows are better. Because of their cleaning schedule, unless you're a member, they have a pretty late check in time, but they'll also gladly hold onto your bags for you.

This is the 3rd Toyoko Inn we have stayed in and they are pretty much all the same. The single rooms are extremely small, definitely for just one person. The twins are still small but ok for 2. Breakfast is always included but is Asian, mainly rice, soup and vegetables. The staff were very helpful and sent our luggage off to Narita without a hitch ( definitely easier than hauling it yourself).Absolutely recommend.
