I booked their " run of the house " plan , which means that if you book a few weeks in advance ( they offer you a room of at least 15 square meters in size for only 4700 yen , or $ 47 ) . Only drawback is you can't choose a smoking or non-smoking room . No frills or course , but all you need for a one or 2 night stay . I got a semi-double bed , non-smoking room ( preferred ) and was quite happy with it . Staff were quite pleasant and the walls were a little thicker than the average Japanese business hotel . :-) All in all a nice stay and I will definitely book this hotel again when I go to Fukuoka in July .

Excellent location about 6 min walk from d Hakata Station. A good base to visit the 3 main shopping districts of Fukuoka. Room size comfortable for a couple, clean and came with a well- equipped bathroom. It was value for money for the price we paid.

i stayed this hotel for 2nights, in last week.
the location was great, just 5 minutes walking distance from Hakata station.and near the Canal city as well, and there is a but stop in front of the hotel. However when i ask the nearest bus stop of the Green bus, the staff ( the guy who is the oldest one) does not know where is it, just pointed Hakata station(bus terminal) on the map( probably can not understand what i meant?)
later when i was walking on the street i knew the bus stop in front of the hotel was for green bus also.
and If you want to stay here have to aware that there is no water in the room even the minibar in the refrigerator, nothing in there. There are only two green tea bags (without water? can not understand) tap water?, when i asked at the front desk, they just pointed vending machine.
the check out time was 11am, and i asked a bit late check out , around 12 o'clock ,
and they said 2000 yen for this, very strict, i ve never stayed like this hotel , Usually every hotel allow the 1 hour late check out. It was very harsh. (probably it is just cultural thing?)
the room was very dry. ah! the wifi is only available at the lobby and the signal is very week(offered by Fukuoka city not hotel)

Room Tip: the high floor was good for view and no water in the room, nothing for minibar, TV channels were j...

About 7-8 minutes walk from Hakata Station which is fine during this time of the year although the temperature is 2C-3C at night. Check-in is swift. Room is of reasonable size. The bathroom is slightly bigger than those in most other business hotels. There are some restaurants near the hotel and the walk to Canal City where tons of restaurants, shops are located takes merely 15 minutes (2 stops if take the 100 Yen loop bus)

At first we were a little sceptical that the rooms wouldn't live up to the quality portrayed in the photos - especially at such a good price. However, when we arrived we were throughly impressed. It is a little bit of a walk from Hakata Station (about 600m). The lobby is very nice, and is filled with beatiful paintings. The staff were very friendly too. The rooms were just as nice as the photos, if not better! It was roomy, modern, clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was very spacious and there were two desks to sit as which was fantastic as both my partner and I work on laptops frequently. The LAN internet was also very fast. The rooms was also very quiet, with hardly any noise from the street below.

Very impressed, highly recommended! :)

We stayed at the Sutton Place in Hakata /Fukuoka in January for 1 week in a double room on the 13th Floor.
The size of the room is 20.42 square meters. The room is big enough for 2 comfortably with modern amenities. The room is very Clean. As good as it gets. The Electric Thermos in the room is very handy.
The Bathroom is a decent size and i have to say it is the cleanest Bathtub and Bathroom from the many Hotels i have stayed in worldwide. Great! The amenities for the guest in the Bathroom are great also. Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner are found in 3 large Pump Bottles in the Bathroom with plenty on Tap to use. The Toilet is a modern Japanese Toilet that is also luxurious.
There is complimentary FAST Internet in the Room as long as you have your Laptop Computer with you. If not, there is a private open room in the Lobby with 3 computers and a printer. (Business Centre)
There is a complimentary Breakfast type service in the morning which is included in the price. It s not the traditional Buffet style but there is a wide assortment of Breads,Croissants, Buns, Toast, Juices, Milk, Cereal, Several types of Tea, Coffee. Everything is Fresh and very welcome. You have it in the Lobby but there is ample room to sit very comfortably.
We did our Laundry located on one of the Floors in the Hotel. 3 Washers and 3 dryers and you can get washing powder from a machine in the same room. Great Machines.
Also there are Tea and Coffee Dispensers on the 6th and 13th Floors with ice dispensers to boot (FREE) Very Welcome indeed.

Ironing Board and Iron-You can borrow these from the Lobby.

The Staff are extremely Polite and welcome all guests on entry and exit. They are very nice. It was not a problem for us but you may have to speak basic English slowly so staff can understand.
*** The one Negative that i clearly see, but this may be the case in most Hotels in Japan is that you get charged per person not per room. So 1 person in my room would get charged 9500 YEN but if there are 2 people the charge is 15000. That is the only real drawback and something to consider. If you are splitting expenses with a friend it is fine.

The Hotel is 5 minutes from the station if you walk fast. Perhaps less than 10 minutes walking slower. You get out of the Hakata entrance/exit of the Hotel and it is 1 left turn go straight a couple of Hundred meters then take a diagonal right(the only right turn) and another 2-300 meters and you're there. Easy.

The staff will happily loan you an Umbrella or 2 if necessary.

Overall we would definitely stay there again.
