We stayed here in previous years and again during the Lunar New Year period toward the end of January 2014. I have noticed that the hotel has managed to maintain the high level of service from our first visit. Not easy!
Here are some of the cons:
1. Clean, clean, clean - Everything is clean.
2. Centrally located in Hakata. Two blocks from the Gion Subway Station that links to Hakata Station for travel around Japan or back to the International Airport. Hakata Machiya Folk Museum (博多町家) right near the hotel. MUST visit. Just in front of Kushida Shrine (櫛田神社) (Open Monday)/ 日本福岡6. Also MUST visit. Right behind the hotel. Hakata Traditional Craft Center (はかた伝統工芸館の口コミ) also nearby. MUST visit. Tochoji Temple – a 3 Minute walk from hotel with largest wooden Buddha in Japan(東長寺福岡大佛) 日本福岡2-4 Gokushomachi, Hakata-ku 812-0037. Temple connected to Tang era buddhism. 1,200 years of history. Beautiful pagoda in the temple yard. Ice cream store next door.
3. Hot Spring/Traditional Japanese Bath with free Ramen noodles on the roof floor.
4. Price - very cheap for what you get.
Recommendation - a fitness center, which they currently don't have, would be a nice addtion.More
