Ideal location close to station with plenty of eating choices around, not difficult in Japan! Room was adequate size but perfect for single traveller, all the mod cons, nice and warm, good bathroom. I especially like the complimentary hot drink machine on every level as you exit the elevator.Breakfast was great, busy, but easy to get a seat, very good choices and constantly kept topped up. Onsen was great after long cold day walking round. The lovely woman at reception went out of her way to be helpful and ensure I had a nice stay, her English was good. Will stay at these Active hotels again.

Only within 8mins walk could easily go to JR, while also there's a shopping centre and food gallery there.

Room is tiny (may also due to I just finished my stay on Kyoto in Japanese style ryokan), we two people cannot open our luggage at the same time. Considering it is just for a brief stay, it's fine.

The onsen is nice, quite comfortable and my skin feels so good after it!

What a gem. Only 4 minutes walk from the rail station and in a quiet street. The rooms are very small, and I mean small, but this is typical of all 3 star hotels in Japan (even some 4 star). If you have been to Singapore you will know what I mean. The bathroom is really a cubicle stuck in a corner but has everything included, free toiletries, even the WC. Flat screen TV but hard to find a English speaking channel. On each floor just at the lift entrance is a free coffee/tea/hot chocalate machine which is a nice touch. The hotel has a free onson for guests...pyjamas supplied, male on ground floor, female on 1st floor . Cost for the room was $125 per day. There are free washing machines and driers supplied on the ground floor. Breakfast was OK. Good selection of 5 hot dishes plus cereal, toast, etc. A good pizza/pasta restaurant has just opened only about 50m from hotel and there are 3 24hr convenience stores nearby (7-11 and Lawsons) .

Pros.

1. Location: very close to the station, shops and restaurants.
2. B'fast: great variety with Japanese and western style food. Delicious.
3. Onsen: I fell in love with this. It was the best thing ever at the end of the day. When I was using it at late evenings, usually there's nobody else. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair drier provided. You have to take your own towel with you though.
4. Free drinks every floor.
5. Free usage of the laundry room
6. Fantastic value

Cons.
As everybody pointed, the room was quite small. I was a solo traveler with 2 suitcases and I struggled to find enough room for luggage. Well, it's a Japanese hotel, after all.

It was a nice, clean and efficient business hotel with well trained staffs. I was quite satisfied and happy overall. If I ever go back to Fukuoka, I will definitely go back to this place.

Everything about the hotel was good - location, staff, free laundry, free coffee machine on each floor and free breakfast (they even had quite a bit of a variety for breakkie). The only down side is that the room was a bit small. We had 2 suitcases and there was simply no room for them. We basically had to close both suitcases so that we could open the bathroom door. Would suggest people stay elsewhere unless they had little luggage.

We have a 2 year old baby, and they insist us to book a another single bed room for him. Which means I have to stay with our baby in the double bed room, and my husband has to sleep in another single bed room.
Certainly, we should never stay in the different rooms.....
The only thing we can do is pay for the single bed room, but not use it.
Isn't it ridiculous?
這家飯店堅持要我們訂一間雙人房加一間單人房,我們是兩夫妻加上一個幼兒,他們堅持說雙人房不能住三個人,即使我家的孩子還不到三歲!!

Room Tip: If you have young baby, this is not your choice!

There was a promotion when we booked this hotel. The room which we had was very small, but well-equipped with sufficient amenities. If you want to boil water / iron clothes, just get the electric kettle and ironing board near the lift of each floor. 7 kinds of drinks are available for free (mostly coffee and 1 tea) at the same area - just bring along the cup provided inside the room. There is a separate hot bath for male and female, but no family bath is available. The staff spoke sufficient English.

The good:
The price. It's definitely value-for-money!

Location. It's less than 5min away by foot from Hakata station, very convenient, especially if you plan to make day trips or have an early flight to catch.

Free Internet. Just bring your own router and you get free wifi in the room. There was also a multi-device charger available next to the bed, so we could just plug and surf. Free wifi is also available at the breakfast area.

Room is new and clean, no complains about the cleaning services.

Shower was great - strong water pressure and consistent water temperature.

Bed was rather comfy, just a little small (queen's size), and we slept well each night.

There is a good spread of western and Japanese breakfast items, and some items are changed on a daily basis.

You can do your own laundry for free at the area behind the breakfast place, detergent and dryer included.

The not-so-good:
Making reservations. We had to guess our way through the hotel's Japanese booking website, which required a Japanese phone number that we did not have. It was quite a painful process. However, subsequently when we emailed our queries to the hotel, the replies were very prompt.

The room size. We have stayed in similar small hotel rooms before, but this was the first time we were staying for 4 nights. As we spent more time in the room, we felt that it could get pretty crowded at times.

Maybe we didn't know how to operate it properly, but the air-conditioning could get quite noisy with high wind speed, but that didn't affect our sleep. It cut off abruptly when desired temperature was achieved, leaving the room feeling quite stuffy sometimes.
