Booked the room directly on their website. Paid 4000 Yen a night.
The room looks old dated, but it was decent clean. I asked for a non smoking room but there was a light cigarette smell in it or some nasty smell. The walls in the hotel are very thin, so I heard EVERYTHING that was going on in the room next to me. Kinda annoying, as I was very tired. The room came with all the standard stuff (fridge, japanese tv etc). Staff was friendly. There is a computer/internet available downstairs for 100 yen per 10 min.
The hotel has a great location. You can walk there from Hakata station or just take the subway to Gion station for 100 yen. It is close to some temples and a lot of shops (Tenjin area, Canal City). You can easily walk to many places or take the 100 yen loop bus.
Direct bus to the int. ferry terminal (bus 88).More
