“Well-appointed rooms, right outside JR Hakata”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

I had a very comfortable stay here (I stayed 2 nights from 14-16 July 2013). Well-appointed rooms, literally right outside the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Train Station (turn to your right and there the hotel is!). Staff were friendly, room was well-appointed and spacious by Japanese standards. I arrived at the hotel early in the morning, left my luggages and by the time I got back in the evening from Mount Aso, my luggages had been stored in my room after checking in :)

Only issues, however, were:
a) The terrible WiFi connection. Possibly because I was assigned a corner room right at the end.

b) I was about 20 minutes late in dropping off my laundry by the indicated time of 10am (that's a little too early!) and was made to pay 50% surcharge for "express" laundry (e.g. my laundry cost 2000 yen originally, and I had to pay an additional 1000 yen for this). It's not exactly "express" because the laundry would have been returned at the same time as the previous batch that was sent in to the laundry anyway. I expected a grace period to be given but this was not the case.

You can't get any closer to the main station in Fukuoka. Within a couple minutes by foot you can access just about any store or restaurant. If the train or subway system is your transportation choice, this is an awesome hotel. The only down side was that the street level exit was between pachinko palors and it was very smoky. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Isolde stay here again.

First stay at Hotel Clio Court . Yes , the location is very convenient , but that is about all I can say good about the place . Even with all lights turned on the room was on the dark side . No internet connection in the room . More up to date hotels have a card one uses to enter one's room ; CC is still back in the dark ages with the key system which means one has to drop the key at the front desk each and every time one goes out . My room was at the end of a corridor , which usually is a good thing . Unfortunately the room adjacent to mine and the one adjacent to it housed a family - with a parent in each single room with a kid , and they didn't totally shut their doors the whole time I was there ( latch stuck between door and wall so easier for each parent / kid to get into both rooms ) and the racket was almost unbearable as a result with parents and kids screaming and banging on walls , etc.... I complained to the front desk but they did nothing . Needless to say I will never stay here again .

As soon as you get out of Hakata Station, the hotel is next right. The room is clean & spacious compares to same level hotel in Tokyo or Osaka. Full set of Toiletries as well as Pajamas are provided in the room everyday. The other good thing is that there is Internet router in the room so it can guarantee good wifi signal. I would highly recommend anyone to stay in this hotel, it's value for money !

We have stayed here may be a dozen times over the last 5 years on our way to Tokyo. Very convenient to access trains, or to the airport by taxi or subway. Staff is always friend and good English. All the rooms are different on the floor because of the buildings design, which makes it nice, meaning not the standard Japanese overnight hurry up hotel. Some are large and give the westerner space for our big luggage! Lots of food close by within walking distance and safe!

Room Tip: Room 912 is big!

Stayed here one night after missing train to Osaka. The rate was best compared to other hotels in the area. The location is near the JR station. Rooms are small and decor is old fashioned but clean. There is a step coming out of toilet in the room which I fell down so may not be good with young children.Overall while this may not have been one of the best places I have stayed in there is certainly much worse out there. Itsa clean and the location is good so when you are just sleeping there its fine.
