“Best budget deal ever!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2013

We just stayed one night as this was supposed to be a quick city stop before going to North of the island the next day. Our flight was very late so we just took a taxi from the airport, it was a 10 minute ride I think. We arrived at 2am so not much to explore, but the convenience store behind the hotel was open and supplied some basic late night snacks before sleeping. Overall I was very pleased because the room was clean and safe. For the price I paid, I had my doubts about what I was getting into. The reviews were good but it was too cheap for me to believe it. I was wrong :D

Pros: CHEAP. Central location (it's a 2 minute walk from the Hilton Doubletree), very close to the main bus station. Free breakfast (it's buffet but don't expect much in terms of choice - they did have ice cream though!!!) Free internet (didn't use it). Very Clean bathroom.
Cons: Very small room. Some bars in the area with noisy people (well it was a Friday...). No English service as far as I could see. Very basic facilities.

I booked this hotel with a Japanese website (rakuten travel) and we got a realllllllyyyyy good price as there was a sale for guests that used low cost carriers to get to Okinawa, we had to show our plane tickets when we checked-in. Total cost: 2500 per person. Hard to beat that in Japan!

We stayed there for two nights in August.

It's typical Japanese business hotel. The room is small but enough for sleep. The location is good, just a few minutes from Asahibashi monorail station, and there were many local restaurants around there. There is also Family mart, a convinience store which opens for 24-hour near the hotel.

I'm Japanese and I've been stayed in this area many times. There are many budget hotels there and they provide almost the same level of service, room in similar price.
However, I think one of the biggest feature of this hotel is FREE breakfast buffet . It's simple, but enough.
Approx five kind of bread, Onigiri (rice ball), boiled egg, salad, soup, coffee, orange juice, tea were available at cafe in 1st floor. Ice cream in various flavor ( famous brand in Okinawa) was also available in the breakfast!

The strong point of this hotel is the position, 3 minutes walk from the Yu Rail stop, and 4 minutes walk from the Naha bus terminal, and 8 minutes walk from Kokusai Dori. The superior room is very confortable and quite large in confront of the Japanese standard. Th staff is nice, but they didn't speak in English, so if you need to have some information you could use the pc or go to the tourist information office in Kokusai Dori. The breakfast was very good with japanese food and intercontinental food too. Very good budget hotel!

Room Tip: The superior room was very good and it is really cheap

Stayed here for 3 nights in November, when we came to Naha with the (then new) AirAsia Japan flights.

The lobby is very luxurious-looking, check-in is friendly, and the rooms are sometimes a bit small but very clean and the beds comfortable. The rooms have the usual plastic moulded bathroom common at Japanese lower-end hotels, with free toothbrushes etc. There isn't much useful storage space in the room (basically 4 coat hangers on a rail and a small shelf), but it's OK and we slept well, which is ultimately what determines how likely we are to come back. There's a fridge. No in-room safe, so it's great for a leisure trip but not sure about a business trip (I'd want somewhere to put the laptop).

Internet is free, and wireless internet also (although only reliable in the ground-floor lobby).

The hotel is reasonably easy to find, and only 5 minutes walk from the Asahibashi 'Yui-rail' monorail station. When you're on the Yui-rail platform, if you came from the airport (only 14 minutes!) then face the way your train leaves the station. You'll see a big blue sign with 'Toyoko Inn' on the left. The GRG Hotel Naha Higashimachi is facing that hotel across the side street, don't cross the street by going over the bridge, just turn left and walk 15m or so. Although you can't immediately see it from the station, it's not far

For getting to the main areas of Naha, there are 2 main options. Firstly, you could walk back to the Asahibashi Yui-rail station and get a monorail to Kencho-mae (1 stop). Alternatively, it's a short walk (maybe 10 minutes) to the start of Kokusai-dori ('International Street') which is the centre of the main tourist area. Also, Asahibashi station is very near the bus terminal if you're exploring further afield.

Overall, the location is not quite central but very convenient, and also there's a Family Mart convenience store next to the hotel for snacks etc. Recommended - it'll be on my shortlist next time I'm in Okinawa.

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. Staff were very friendly spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean.Breakfast was simple but adequate and FREE.
The bookings .com website says the hotel serves evening meals for 1500yen but it doesn't.Plenty of restaurants around ,turn left out of the entrance then right look for the restaurant by the overhead walk way with the cat asleep on the big pot outside, or further around the corner with the fish tanks outside - this restaurant was excellent!
There is parking available we parked our rental car right outside the front entrance - very convenient worth 500yen per night. Or the hotel is convenient for the monorail and a few yards away from the end of international street for shopping.
All in all a great value hotel

loved our 2 night stay here. excellent location, a few minutes walk to monorail station. tucked away in a small street so very quiet. hotel has a beautiful lobby, room was standard japanese size but enough space for the 4 of us. the kids shared our beds free of charge, which was a big plus. the included breakfast was simple but good.

it's a business hotel but very child friendly, so i would recommend it to any family looking for a great value.

The bathroom had some rather strange smells, like moldy standing water? The lobby looks nice but the rooms are small, clean and functional. The hotel is ok if you are in Okinawa for work, if you are in town for pleasure or wish to share your room with someone else I would look somewhere else. The free breakfast is VERY simple, some salad and croissants at the most.

I coudn't sleep past 6am any morning due to the constant and extremely loud sirens from ambulances and fire trucks driving by. There must be a fire station near buy, it was frustrating that I could never sleep in. The weekend brought much noise from people trying to street race there scooters and then police showing up at 3am.
