“Good location for Naha”
Reviewed 2 June 2012

Hotel is convenient to walk to the major streets in Naha and a department store where you can go shopping and eating (next to the department store you have a metro). I like the way it's in a quiet residential area so you don't have the noise of big streets but you are still within walking distance to main area. Room is ok. Internet is free. Breakfast restaurant is sunny lit with floor to ceiling window so is nice - only I wish they play happier music for me to start the day....Staff are friendly and not condescending. Naha isn't all that exciting but this hotel give you peace of mind that everything runs OK from start to end.

The hotel is located a bit off if you want to stay in central Naha but I still recommend this hotel. Spacious rooms decorated in traditional American style, two Queen size beds. Unfortunately only wired LAN, wifi only lobby area. Limited offerings of non-Japanese TV channels.

Over all we had a pleasent stay at the Okinawa Harborview, don't miss out on the fabolous breakfast with everthing one can wish for in a bright and beautiful restaurant on the lower ground floor, overlooking the garden.

Very friendly staff but a suprisingly low level of language skills as most staff only spoke Japanese or very limited English. One had to improvise :-)

I stayed for three nights and had a pretty nice time here. The location is on top of a hill, so the room had a good view of Naha, but is bit of a hike to the hotel from Kokusai-Dori. You can just take a cab, as the taxi drivers in Okinawa are generally nice and will just chuckle at short distance rides. The room we stayed needed refurbishing, but was okay. The staff are courteous, although lacked the service you get at top hotels, so it had a budget-hotel feeling throughout. The price was a steal through the Internet reservation we did, so we couldn't complain. This place is far from the beach, so you should stay in other hotels if you want to have and oceanfront experience.

Dear GlobalFoodie,

Thank you for staying with us. I am glad to see that you commented on what you enjoyed about the hotel as well as what fell below your expectations. Our hotel is very proud of its level of service, cleanliness and quality of its product and for this reason your comments are very troubling and will certainly be looked into. While we understand that your stay was not 100% satisfactory, we would hope that you would give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.

I was staying in this hotel for a family trip: 4 adults + 1 kid for 3 nights at the end of Aug 2011. The hotel is not bad, with good breakfast at a quite convenient location (even on the first day it took us awhile to find this hotel because it is located on a street inside the residential area). Since we drove, it was only a few mins away from the hotel to the main street so we considered it was still a convenient location.

Actually the hotel rooms are quite old even they are clean well. Also the washroom is very small (dunno why the typical washrooms in Japan are always small). The hotel staff were great, they were friendly and helpful. Most of them knew at least simple English so we had no problem on communication. The service of velvet parking was good too. So the only thing I felt for this hotel is they really need to refurbish the rooms.

Nice neighborhood hotel tucked away in a quiet area of busy Naha. Walkling distance to the famous shopping area. Laundry was convinent for me to use. Nice stay and comfortable room. Only downside was the limited pool hours - opened late and closed early. Never able to use the pool. Nice and helpful staff. Room was comfortable.

booked direct with the hotel. arrived very late on a very busy friday night. shown to a terrible twin bedded room with one lonely tub chair. room was smelling of smoke. pleded to be moved but they wouldn't budge saying e hotel was ful. promised to move us the next morning. they did deliver another chair so we could both sit down for a nightcap. breakfast the next morning the dining room was packed but the service, quality of food and choice was excellent. had a porter just waiting for us to move us to another room higher up in the hotel. beautiful room like another hotel completely. loved the stay here.
will remember about a late arrival to a hotel at a busy time.

We stayed here only one night. Price was quite reasonable, we got an extra bed which meant that there were four beds in the relatively small room. No matter, we knew this beforehand. The hotel is comfortable and relatively centrally located, you can walk to the main shopping areas and a monorail station is two blocks away. Breakfast was OK, although the service seemed to be a bit disorganized.
