This is Temple #80 on the Shikoku pilgrimage trail and although it is quite close to Takamatsu (four stops along the local line towards Utazu), there didn't seem to be many people around. A number of pilgrims drifted in, but there was not much to disturb the peace and tranquility of the temple grounds. There are lots of interesting statues and a nice stream and plenty of donation boxes dotted around. For a donation you can ring the bell. The statue of Kannon in the main hall is an important cultural asset and is surprisingly small. Only a 5-minute walk from the Kokubu railway station.
