I was staying here for a conference and found the place friendly and the lobby/restaurant a great place to sit and have a drink or unwind after the day's work. It's close to good shopping and on the main street so lots to see and do nearby.

The breakfast was fantastic. Great selection, excellent quality and good balance of authentic Japanese and western selection. If Im back to Sendai, I'd happily stay there again.

We visited Sendai during Golden week in May 2012 and stayed at the Library hotel.
The room was cleaned each day and there were fresh sheets and towels. There is a small kettle and cups for making a brew of your choice by buying supplies from the local Lawsons "Combini" situated close to the hotel. We were on the 7th floor which overlooked the eight lane road system which can be noisy, but no reason not to stay there.
The TV is limited for english speaking programs, but there are TV card machines on every floor to upgrade for more programs if required.
The reception staff are helpful. There are no safety deposit boxes for keeping your passports or valuables, but the reception staff will supply an envelope for these items that will be stored in their safe.
Breakfast is limited for the western pallete but you can always find enough to eat, There is free coffee and tea from a vending machine in the breakfast area from 1400-2400 Hrs.
The staff speak a little english so brush up on your Japanese if you really need to communicate.
Getting around Sendai is very easy. There are plenty of shops to browse in, and if you fancy a bite to eat, then McDonalds or KFC are not far away if you are not partial to the local cusine.

Nice hotel, lovely rooms and bed. Great breakfast although this is Y1000 extra. Very centrally located, near the market and railway station. A bit expensive compared with some other hotels, though this is reflected in the generally good quality.

A very nice hotel - room was quite modern and very clean, with all the necessities, except an ironing board - in fact, no ironing facilities to be found at this hotel even in the laundry room. Conveniently located and central. The breakfast was pretty good, with a selection to suit both western and Japanese tastes.
