We were part of a group of friends meeting to visit wineries on the north fork. Palmer is a nice place for everyone meet. They have picnic tables so you can bring your own food to enjoy with their wines. They offer tastings, wines by the glass and bottle. Live music is part of the attraction. It was loud at times, so you may want to get a table on the outside of the entertainment area. Ample parking. Stop by Palmer to start off you day, you will not be disappointed.

We were given our flight choice and were able to sit on the porch and take our time enjoying the wines. This was so much better than standing at a bar and feeling a rushed through a tasting. The view from the porch was lovely and it was a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful, open tasting room with tables and booths. Choice of several "flights." We did the red and new varietals. Ordered a most delicious NY State Cow & Goat Milk Camenbert Cheese & Crackers. So good, I ordered two more to go. Wines were very well balanced. The stand outs were the Chardonnay, Cabernet, & Sauvignon Blanc. Nice overtones in the Cabernet. Worth a visit.

As indicated in other reviews, the tastings are generous. $12 for four white wines (half off if you can find the coupon). They give you the wines on a round tray with a paper describing each wine and send you out to the deck or a table. There was a band there when we were tasting. If you share, there is probably four to five good swigs each glass and the wine was very good. There were some families there with little kids running around, but didn't appear to cater to kids. We did see a lot of people relaxing, and going back in for additional glasses or tastings. This is a definite stop not to be missed.
