The view is amazing and you can't just stop watching the 5895 m volcano which is the highest summit in Africa . Having said that the food was just very average not to say poor , the amenities in the room almost ridiculous .and the fact that keep cutting electricity 3 times a day as they operate with generator will put this lodge in a medium range though the price is for 5 stars ! Wifi is Only available when they decide to switch on the router and in 5 m radius next to the device ( souvenir shop ! ) beside this they have a decent size swimming pool .

Beautiful tented camp, with our tent overlooking the waterhole with ostriches, impalas, gazelle and waterbucks. Large, clean bathroom and pool - lots of water for hot showers. Buffets were good, in a spectacular setting. You can climb up the tower in the restaurant for breathtaking views of the camp, right into Amboselli National Park. Mt. Kilimanjaro is visible when it's clear.
The bar has a lovely area fro relaxing and taking in the gorgeous surroundings. Very friendly staff who walk you back to your tent at night.

The resort is situated in great location - awesome view of the Kilimanjaro. It is just outside the park not roght into it but the views are breathtaking. can also view the park from the tower in the resort.
Superb service - especially at the restaurant. Great beginning to our 3 week long tour of Africa. Rooms are spacious and beautiful.

We came to Kilima after a very long drive - 8 hrs in fact. On arrival no hot water even though the wood boilers had been fired up(yes in many camps that is how hot water is provided efficiently) .
Is it rude to let the management know that we were not happy campers. The staff were marvellous, and upgraded us, but on checking with other visitors we found that they had not had hot water morning or night nor the next morning. We managed warm showers finally the next day. The plumbing has had it. It is not the wood burners. Solar pipes probably need looking at too.
Thank you Esther for very friendly polite and professional assistance. Advice to Mada Hotels - please fix it pronto and properly - this is not the first report!

Room Tip: Amboseli is probably one of the best game parks in Kenya/Tanzania especially for the photographer as the colours are amazing. However not being a photographer I still loved the colour, elephants (very close up I might add) and the mountains. Kilima has the added advantage of a water hole and if you are lucky you may be able to view from your balcony. Ask for it.

Dear Helen.

Thank you for your review and the management has dealt with the Hot water problem, during your stay at the Kilima Safari Camp, the was a big cloud cover that hindered the hot water solar system, that's why we experienced that problem.

The Hot water system has been repaired, and installed an alternative electricity backup that will ensure that when there is that cloud cover, the supply for the hot water will not be interrupted.

Thanks a lot for Choosing Kilima Safari Camp and we are looking forward in hosting you soon.

Regards

Mr. Peter Mugi

We stayed here only for one night, very near to the Amboseli National Park's gate. This place is the best, absolute silence and with clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro (on a clear day), a drinking pound where Gazelle, Elephants often come to drink water and you can watch them very closely.

Camp's are very relaxing, with good service, gentle and great staff, great food. There is also a viewing tower from where you can see the vast area of this Camp's and ever fortunate enough you might spot some animals.

This is by far the best Camp's in Amboseli National Park.
