Traveled to Kenya with daughter, son in law and their 8 year old twin sons. Wonderful experience here at Campi ya Kanzi. The owners Luca, Antonella and their kids were there during our stay which was great for our twin grandsons. Stephano our guide was wonderful with the twins as were the Masai who interacted with them. This is fancy camping. Amazing food. Gazillion animals were seen.

Overall I would recommend Campi ya Kanzi as an outstanding experience.

Room Tip: They all looked great to us

During our 10 day stay at Kanzi in June-July 2014, we spent one night out in the bush at the fly camp. This was the experience of a life time! Kanzi's Cessna 206 took us on the short flight to the bush camp where we had the opportunity to spend a day and a night with a wonderful bucket shower, a pit toilet, and sumptuous meals. After dinner we were completely enveloped by the African night, more stars than one could imagine, and the sounds of the animals after dark.

In the early morning we watched Mt Kilimajaro change from deep purple to violet and finally to pink as the dawn approached. Our Maasai tracker, Mtasha, and our fabulous professional safari guide, Stefano, led us along the river where we tracked elephants and came upon 5 beautiful bulls peacefully grazing. We returned to fly camp to get the jeep so we could get very close to the elephants to photograph them without disturbing them.

Our experience at Campi Ya Kanzi was superb in every regard. Our host, Stefano, had a surprise for us every day - - a breathtaking lookout in Tsavo, sundowners atop remote outcroppings, easy walks through the bush, strenuous hikes to the Cloud Forest and visits to the local village and field biology station just to name a few! If you go to Kanzi, fly camp is a surprise and experience you will remember for a lifetime.

Just came back from a fabulous trip to Africa which included Tanzania and Kenya. We visited four camps of which the last was Campi ya Kanzi ... for us, it couldn't have been better planned.

After tumultuous experiences at Kuria Hills and the Serengeti, Campi ya Kanzi really brought it all together and made it real. We came from places full of animals and completely devoid of civilization in which we couldn't walk away from our camp, to a place were we enjoyed amazing strolls and learned how to responsibly enjoy such expansive nature without shying away from it. What the Masaai Wilderness Conservation Trust has done is to make what we saw everywhere else viable and understanding that left us all full of hope and really rounded up our African experience.

I truly recommend including Campi ya Kanzi in your Safari plans.

Our stay at Campi Ya Kanzi was the perfect way to end our 3 week safari/trekking trip in Tanzania, from our pick up at a isolated grass runway, the amazing views from the little airplane, welcome greetings from the staff, fine wine & delicious meals, the lanterns at Tempo house for evening meals to the nightly wake up calls from the hyenas, every detail is looked after by the wonderful and attentive staff. Sunte and Matasha our guides for hikes and sundowners were professional, fun and knowledgeable - ( elephants never forget !) We will never forget sitting on our outside deck relaxing with a glass of wine watching the zebras and giraffes at the watering hole. A visit to the village showed firsthand the important work that the trust does supporting the health and education of the community as well as the conservation projects. Thank you to everyone at Camp Ya Kanzi ! Doug & Janice

I came here with my Mother and Father in June of 2014. It was the conclusion to our month-long safari in Tanzania and Kenya. It is safe to say that we wished we spent our entire month at this wonderful camp! Having travelled world-wide, it is the most picturesque, unfathomable, stunningly gorgeous location that I have ever visited. The staff are extraordinary and tend to your every need, the food is extraordinary, and the safari options are incredible. The walking is the only thing we wanted to do. Having spent a month on game drives, all we wanted to do was go for hikes, and there were so many opportunities to do so! The Chyulu Hills are something truly special, not to be missed by anyone! Luca and Antonella have established such an incredible operation - we hope to be back sometime very very soon! Thanks to the Campi ya Kanzi family for such an life-changing safari experience!

My wife and I discovered Campi Ya Kanzi during our 1st honeymoon 4 years ago. We decided to go back to Campi Ya Kanzi for our 2nd honeymoon and it was even better. Luca and Antonella are amazing people and they have surrounded themselves with incredible staff. Our guides Parashi and Matasha were very knowledgeable and fun to hike with. The food at camp was extraordinary, mainly italian cuisine and our accommodations were breathtaking. Although we were offered sundowner excursions every night, one night I chose to stay at our suite to view the Kilimanjaro sunset from our porch.
On several occasions we chose to skip the game drive and just hike into the Chyulu hills, hiking is not something we were able to do at the other lodges so we took full advantage while at Campi Ya Kanzi. Hiking for hours without seeing another human is such a unique experience, we live in Los Angeles so you have to wait in line to hike here.
I can't say enough about Campi Ya Kanzi, it holds a special place in our hearts and we will be going back there as long as our legs will carry us.

Room Tip: Simba Suite is close to the water hole and we saw wildlife from our suite everyday.
