“old fish”

Lovely old merchants house (I think) centred around the coelacanth caught 20 years ago. World famous and of great importance to science, very incongruous with the rest of the town. The day we were there the man running it was incredibly friendly & knowledgeable and we had the run of the place. Lovely balcony to watch the footie or fisherman from

“A little bit of fun”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2011

As part of a guided city tour I also visited the marine museum in Malindi. The story of a spectacular catch, some history about Malindi, Vasco da Gama, the Islam and some artifacts on show. If you don't expect too much, you won't be disappointed. As part of a sight seeing tour it is fine. As a visit on its own, it's not something I would recommend.
