This is a large opened Babylonian themed restaurant. Service throughout our meal was ok, nothing more. Started off with a Lebanese red wine that was way to hot to serve. A restaurant of this apparent quality should have a wine fridge. In regards to the food I really didn't get what was so fusion. Dishes like the fatouche, hummos, babaganouche were typical Lebanese dishes, as were most of the other dishes we ordered. This is a good typical Lebanese restaurant. There is nothing different about it. Go for the ambience but if it's good you want there are many places at much less cost.

Dear montrealer1110 ,
Warmest greetings from Babel.
First we would like to thank you for taking the time to post on our TripAdvisor page following your recent visit to Babel. It is truly appreciated hearing the elaborated review you have posted.
Regarding the comment related to some plates being neutral and pure oriental, while they are available in their reinvented version, their availability on the menu is a must to compliment the richness of traditional cuisine and reinvented combinations of inherited ingredients. Therefore, some of these items are available in their revisited version such as Hommus Istambouli and Hommus Moutaam, Moutabal Ajami, Enabieh…
Maintaining superior quality and exhibiting an unfamiliar creative impulse originating from essential flavors is our aim. Therefore we strive to widen the array of selection to not only meet but exceed the guest’s expectation.

Warmest wishes,

Can challenge any restaurant around the world for the title of the "very best".

Amazing deco, spectacular architecture, great service and when it comes to food, the very best of Beirut and one of the top experiences around the region!!

Must try the raw meats selection. Amazing!

I like to go to Babel for their delicious arabic food rich in spices and flavor and creativity. They do not serve the same old dish as others do in town which gets boring. They have the best kebbe frake and the fillet bbq meat is very tender and rich in taste, the shrimp provencial is amazing. Big portions. The only drawback is sometimes their staff. Last sunday the waiter was forcing me to order things I don't want and to get big portions so that the price comes up and the food stays on the table for decoration?? I order the same everytime and it is more than enough. Please tell your waiters To stop forcing customers to order more food That they cannot eat or order alcohol if they don't want to. I like this place but last sunday I felt uncomfortable and I couldn't enjoy my meal. Thank you
