“The Real Madagascar”
Reviewed 6 April 2013

We visited Ankarana as part of a tour of the north (Diego to Nosy Be) - the tsingy, bat caves, disappearing river, forest, lemurs and suspension bridge did not disappoint. A full day and a half a day was not enough. We planned our tour with MadagasCaT - it went without hitch.

“Lot of stuff to see, long and short routes”
Reviewed 18 January 2013

Ankarana holds a lot of interesting creatures to see, including geckos, lizards, chameleons and great landscapes as well, most importantly the Tsingy which is a unique formation of rock only to be seen in special places of the world, like Ankarana

“A "must see".”
Reviewed 11 January 2013

A truly fantastic park with stunning flora and fauna. The bat cave is well worth a visit but the true star is the tsingy. Lemurs are plentiful and the walks are stunning. Having seen David Attenborough's Madagascar I was delighted to find that the Ankarana reserve far exceeded my expectations. What makes for good television is even better experienced in reality. No visit to the North would be worthwile without visiting here and the red tsingy.

“This place is worth a visit!!”
Reviewed 28 November 2012

This was an amazing park! We did quite a bit of hiking, which I would say you would need to be in moderately good shape for. We enjoyed a visit to the tsyngy and bat cave (there is an Ancestor lying inside of the cave, so you need to be very respectful of that space). The wildlife was awesome. We saw a few kinds of lemurs (ankarana sportive lemur, crown lemur, sanford lemur) and several birds. I am so glad that we chose to spend time in the north and at this park!
