The room is old. Air-con took a long while to cool. the only good thing is the bathroom. Shower & Basin taps looks clean and sparkling.

Lunch and breakfast are terrible with little selection. Conference room is a walk from the hotel lobby(thru the carpark). Though it says free wifi, it doesn't work unless you get the wifi password from the concerige. Advise to others, get the wifi password from the concierge, connect it before walking to the conference room.

There is a nice Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel.

this hotel swimming pool is shared with the condominium next door as they dont owned one.we stayed here upon false information recieved and after chekin the children would like to go for a swim and here started the problem.we had to walk to the next door condo swimming and after a short dip a security man came shouting across the pool because one of the child is wearing a tee inside the pool.this man was very rude and sarcastic even his superior was no different.they behave like gangster employed by the hotel management.we left the pool and we also chekout from this nasty place.apart from that there is no happening around this hotel. at 9pm is almost deserted and like a ghost town.for leasure traveller go somewhere else to stay because is far from happening not even a 7/11 is nearby.

Room Tip: the family room is a bit dusty because it seldom being used.

Greetings from Silka Johor Bahru.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize on the rude swimming pool Security personnel you faced during your stay with us. It have been address to the respective department personally.

For future, the management will ensure that the experience you encountered will not be experience by the hotel other guests.

For us to share, the hotel swimming pool is located at a different building which the one that you are at called the Club House. It also houses other hotel facilities; gymnasium, tennish court, squash court, sauna, children playground, 2 meeting rooms and a ballroom.

Had some minor problems during check in. Despite booking for non smoking room, we were almost given a room on smoking floor. Lucky I checked. I had a business suite king facing the city view- which is more like facing a housing construction. At night, it was noisy with sound of traffic. Room smelled musty and I found a dead insect on my bed- it's not dusted I'm sure. Suggest to improve cleaning and adding some scent to the rooms. Room slippers should have been provided.

Bathroom is decent but should be improved to add more choices. Nice having complimentary newspapers.

As a business traveller I spend at least 6 months out of a year in hotels and this one is by far one of the worst I have experienced worldwide, I have stayed here previously when it was known as the Dorset Hotel at which time it was average but it has to be said that at the moment it is a disgrace (4 week period of stay). Starting with the room, dirty, tiles falling of the shower room wall, somtimes towels sometimes not, sometimes toilet paper somtimes not, sometimes bed made sometimes not, need to put television volume up to drown out the constant thud thud eminating from a band playing 6 floors below in the empty hotel bar... Next food (using the word food very loosely), breakfast supposed to start at 6am very inconsistant to say the least, 7am is more realistic by the time the staff wake from their slumber and provide the cold cocktail sausages, watered down beans (cold) and a sometimes rare treat of cold potato... All in all it is very evident there is no effective training of staff and management visibility/interest... They do apparently have complaint forms but there system keeps the complaint in house... Overall impression of the place is that a guest is an inconvenience to them.

Room Tip: Need a room opposite side of building from the empty bar with loud live band/karaoke and keep your e...

We stayed for days as our electricity at our area had a major service upgrade.

Room: Just nice for two if op to standard room. Hot shower need to improve as it is only hot for a while.

Food: need some new set of menus and not just the same local food such as lontong and noodles. Toast bread counter, it is not presentable to place big silver mugs with jam, butter and kaya. This need to be looked into in terms of presentation. Large choices of buffet breakfast is advisable.

Reception: staff was very friendly and helpful.

Carpark: it is better if there is lift provided for guest to access to their car. Presently need to use the stairs.

Room Tip: Choose standard rooms without window, you may sleep soundly and without realising the bright sunny l...

I stayed here with my family and when we want to check in the staff upgrade our room to a family suite . The staff is veryyy friendly.. Especially the chinese lady and the person who handle the carpark.. The room is very big and nice. The breakfast is also not bad. The only thing that i have a problem with is that the parking and the swimming pool is a bit far from the hotel. And the location of the hotel is not that strategic because i think it will be hard for those who dont have a car. But for those who have a car i think this hotel will be great because the hotel is in between the town and legoland and jpo ( johor premium outlet ) . Overall i think this hotel is great and if i need to go to JB again i will definitely come here again.. :)

Need to improve on booking system and service by front desk, not friendly staff at the reception area and service also slow. We booked hotel through online for 4 days, but on 3rd day hotel was asking whether we gonna extend our stay for one more day and keep on calling us on this matter! Asking for towel change on 2nd day, hotel only passed towels on the 3rd day!

The breakfast- it can improve way better.Very minimal choices of food.(not like the HOTEL standard)

Room Tip: request for higher level & non smoking room
