“New experience... interactive dining!!!”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

We planned to check-out this place during our stay at Traders Hotel. Located on the 1st level of Little Red Cube, its just a minutes away from our room.

No online bookings required for lunch & I'm not sure if they accept reservations. We had a hard time making online booking for dinner due to faulty calendar but managed to booked thru phone after making a call twice explaining our predicament. Believed that they do accept walk-in booking for dinner made before 1pm on the same day subject to availability.

Lunch is served ala-carte form 11.30am - 5pm while dinner & shows (RM70/adult & RM50/child 3-12yrs) starts from 6.15pm onwards. Guest are to arrived 30mins before dinner. Choice of vegetarian serving also available.

Outside the restaurant, a signage of the popular character stands next to a "becha" (3 wheel bicycle) great for some memorable shots. We were greeted by their staff at the door asking questions about our party & ourself while they served us the welcome drinks.

Before we entered the dining area, there's a small collection of goodies that can be bought, shirts, caps, magnets, bag... etc. We bought fridge magnet of Lat's at RM12. We were then led to a traditional outdoor cooking setup with green screen background... put on our straw hat, holding onto a basket & a giant spatula playing our part for the photo shoot.

We were then seated in a kampong (village) environment with trees, huts & sound effects. While the appetisers are served, the staff started their dance routine welcoming guest to their kampong. It went on with 3 cartoon characters, Rani, Tong & Meor interacting with us & other guest while we're having our dinner.

The show ends with another dance routine after dessert is served with everyone joining in the fun.

Its our first interesting experience of interactive dining. Thou the food is mediocre, its good that they know when to interact & when not to. Not a place for you to hang out with friends & chit-chat over dinner but the more the merrier. Am sure the kids will love this kinda experience.

“You should try this!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Our family went in without any expectation for lunch but seriously delighted we chosen this place. The environment of the restaurant is just refreshing and readings through LAT comics through the big screen is funny and bring back all the memories. I have to explain to my boy and girl all the games we played when we were young like marble, gasing, hide and seek, rubber seed, paper gun with rubber etc. versus IPAD. Surprisingly the Malay food is good. The staffs are very friendly. This is a good restaurant, don't miss it.

“Great place”
Reviewed 17 July 2013

What an entertaining place. We finished off our Legoland, little big club, hello kitty land day a Lat's place, and we are so glad we did. A mix of entertainment, including the audience, with dinner. The staff are so welcoming an are always smiling. The food was good and tasty, and lots of it. This was an excellent choice to end a great day.

“Trying hard to please everyone”
Reviewed 16 June 2013

Lat's place strives to give an interactive dining experience. Before you start your "adventure', they line you up outside with welcome drinks and try to find out your names, if you are celebrating your birthdays etc - all for a reason of course.

When it is time to go in, you are ushered into a kampong setting and before you know it, the ushers break into a welcome dance and song routine. Then the screens around you come alive and the village characters start calling your names and asking you questions or even sing you a birthday song as you eat.

It is all well and good only if you like to be entertained while you eat. The sincere staff try hard to please and you are hardly left on your own throughout the whole dining experience. If you are the kind who prefers to eat in peace, this place is not for you. The set lunch is mediocre. You eat what is presented to you - not much of a choice here. Overall, it is quite pricey but quite a different experience. I wont go back a second time though - unless they change their entertainment routine.

“Excellent personalized show”
Reviewed 11 May 2013

We visited this place while at Hello Kitty Land and Little Big Club. The staff are excellent, the show is personalized for their audience. It was our honeymoon and they bought out a cake for us and sang. Food was good, it may not be for everyone. We were very appreciative of the effort the staff and cast had put in singing, dancing, talking to the audience.

Price might be pricey but worth it for the amount of effort the staff put in. As this place is new there weren't many customers. I wish this restaurant and staff all the best.
