Owner description: Strategically located in the heart of the city and only a stone's throw from the customs and immigration checkpoint, Johor Bahru City Square stands out as a central landmark in JB. With its more than 200 retailers, it offers a host of fashion, entertainment and restaurants. All catered to wow the senses and satisfy the needs. Rush in when the doors open at 10am for breakfast, then head out and start your shopping adventure of clothes, shoes, bags, trinklets, toiletries, electronic toys. Everything the heart desires. Unique to Johor Bahru City Square is the Inner City, an eclectic mix of smallish fashion and accessory shops plus restaurants housed in a tight, quaint setting. Always a firm favorite of the "NOW" generation. After many hours of shopping, rest the feet in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes or indulge in a soothing foot massage, then go on to treat the rest of the body at a salon.

“It was just alright”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

I have no clues what is all fuss about it! The price is not that cheap and not that expensive either, it was just regular type of stuff they sold at the shopping centre from first class country to what so called backward country. The food is not representing the country so well, over cooked and services quite lousy and not attentive ( even compare to straight forward services like German)

Free wifi in some shops like McD and Seasons.
There are pedestrian bridges connecting CS with CIQ and Merlin Tower.
The mall is located in front of train station and CIQ.

“Cheap place for Singaporeans!”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Cost of living in Singapore is so darn high, thanks for consistent annual inflation! Lucky for me (I live at Sembawang) and also bus AC7, travelling to Malaysia for simple shopping and movie watching no longer burn holes in my pocket. Food are cheaper, watching movies are SO CHEAP! and after a major renovation, City Square JB is no longer a shadow of its old shady self. It's also very convenient (super near to the customs, bus interchange to many other places) and almost all in 1. shopping, eating and movies. Excellent choice to Singaporeans who are finding it more and more expensive to watch movie, eat and shop locally.
