Owner description: Strategically located in the heart of the city and only a stone's throw from the customs and immigration checkpoint, Johor Bahru City Square stands out as a central landmark in JB. With its more than 200 retailers, it offers a host of fashion, entertainment and restaurants. All catered to wow the senses and satisfy the needs. Rush in when the doors open at 10am for breakfast, then head out and start your shopping adventure of clothes, shoes, bags, trinklets, toiletries, electronic toys. Everything the heart desires. Unique to Johor Bahru City Square is the Inner City, an eclectic mix of smallish fashion and accessory shops plus restaurants housed in a tight, quaint setting. Always a firm favorite of the "NOW" generation. After many hours of shopping, rest the feet in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes or indulge in a soothing foot massage, then go on to treat the rest of the body at a salon.

“Good place to spend half a day..”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

City Square is centrally located in main JB town and is linked to the new Immigration complex for those taking public transport from Singaoore.

The mall provides a rich variety of stores for any shopper to easily 4 hours at one single mall. For the foodie, there is vast selection of good food ranging from Chinese to household Malaysian restaurant brand names.

Tang Shifu offers value for money set lunches for just under RM20. You can find tasty nasi lemak and other local fare at PappaRich although it is quite pricey by local standards. I love the selection of bakeries competing for the sight and smell.

For the tired feet, there are several massage places at levels 2 and 3 with a Javanese Spa set to upon very soon.

The mall lacks two things though - a departmental store and a supermarket. There is no anchor tenant in the building, shockingly.

For safety, park your vehicle near the escalator or entrance to the mall.

“It was just alright”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

I have no clues what is all fuss about it! The price is not that cheap and not that expensive either, it was just regular type of stuff they sold at the shopping centre from first class country to what so called backward country. The food is not representing the country so well, over cooked and services quite lousy and not attentive ( even compare to straight forward services like German)

Free wifi in some shops like McD and Seasons.
There are pedestrian bridges connecting CS with CIQ and Merlin Tower.
The mall is located in front of train station and CIQ.
