We stayed 2 nights in different themed rooms, To do that you have to book the rooms individually, check-out in the morning and then check-in again in the late afternoon. Leave your luggage in the luggage room while you go play in the day. The first night was in a normal pirate-themed room. We didn't request for anything and was given a room on the first floor with a view of the construction land in front of the hotel. The 2nd night was in a premium kingdom-themed room. This time I asked for a room with better view and was given a corner room 315 on the 3rd floor with a view of Legoland and the Water Park. From my experience, the premium room is only slightly larger in size and has themed wall-papers and maybe a better view. The "treasure" in the safe were the same for both rooms - 2 packets of Lego Chima and 1 packet of Lego Star Wars (I have 3 kids). On the issue of sleep-quality, the beds were hard and one of my girls had a neck-ache from the thick pillows.
If you've booked the discounted combo park tickets with the hotel and want to collect the tickets first before check-in at 4 pm, enter the hotel from the front entrance or LG1 (basement 1 of the car-park). There's a guard at basement 2 level blocking non-hotel guests from entering in the morning hours, and it's a long round-about walk from LG2 to the main entrance. Or just randomly give a hotel room number if he asks you. We stayed in 155 and 315. It's no use telling him you'll be checking-in the afternoon, he won't budge. Register with the hotel first if you reach in the morning and you can just collect your room keys in the afternoon. If you leave your phone number, they'll even call you to inform when the room is ready.
