“Expensive but great experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

We stayed 2 nights in different themed rooms, To do that you have to book the rooms individually, check-out in the morning and then check-in again in the late afternoon. Leave your luggage in the luggage room while you go play in the day. The first night was in a normal pirate-themed room. We didn't request for anything and was given a room on the first floor with a view of the construction land in front of the hotel. The 2nd night was in a premium kingdom-themed room. This time I asked for a room with better view and was given a corner room 315 on the 3rd floor with a view of Legoland and the Water Park. From my experience, the premium room is only slightly larger in size and has themed wall-papers and maybe a better view. The "treasure" in the safe were the same for both rooms - 2 packets of Lego Chima and 1 packet of Lego Star Wars (I have 3 kids). On the issue of sleep-quality, the beds were hard and one of my girls had a neck-ache from the thick pillows.

If you've booked the discounted combo park tickets with the hotel and want to collect the tickets first before check-in at 4 pm, enter the hotel from the front entrance or LG1 (basement 1 of the car-park). There's a guard at basement 2 level blocking non-hotel guests from entering in the morning hours, and it's a long round-about walk from LG2 to the main entrance. Or just randomly give a hotel room number if he asks you. We stayed in 155 and 315. It's no use telling him you'll be checking-in the afternoon, he won't budge. Register with the hotel first if you reach in the morning and you can just collect your room keys in the afternoon. If you leave your phone number, they'll even call you to inform when the room is ready.

Dear zinc6539

Thank you for your review and photo’s. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. I can confirm that the Premium Themed rooms come with the view of the Parks.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the security on LG2. We are sorry if this came across as too strict, however, we would like to ensure that during peak periods our Hotel guests get the best experience possible and thereby minimising the number of non staying guests from crowding up the play areas in the Hotel.

Once again, thank you for your review and adding your photo’s. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Kind regards,
Legoland® Malaysia Resort

With my 2 kids, 3 and 6yo, it was quite important to have a kids friendly hotel. LEGOLAND fits the kids' needs and was a good stay.
We booked the Kingdom theme, and it was great. The parent's bed was a huge king size, and they had a double bunk bed for the kids, plus a pull out , which makes it suitable for 3 kids.
Everything in the room was impressive, they had 2 sinks and mirror, one for the parents and one for the kids, which was great for the kids. The carpets were all lined with the bedroom theme which was again great and you could tell they put in great effort in the rooms.
There was a box of lego for the kids to play and another treasure hunt, which would unlock the complementary lego in the treasure box.
The toiletries were all packaged nicely in lego theme packages, which makes it look uniform.

We had breakfast early abut 7-7.30am, thus avoiding any crowd. Food wise, was a little disappointing. Not fantastic, but sufficient. Restaurant area was full of lego structures which was great.
Very child friendly with baby chairs.

The lobby was a great joy. Structures of legos for kids to play! They could spend hours there! There was sufficient chairs and sofas for parents to relax in, and an area of massage chairs too. RM5 for 5 mins though.

I also totally love the lifts! Disco lights once u step in! and disco music too, all helping t et the mood to enjoy!

The downside was the WIFI was horrible. I was using IPhone 5, but could only get onto WIFI on my last day. My hubby's wifi was not able to work once I managed to get onto my wifi. This was a great disappointment as I thought WIFI connection (stable connection) was one of the most important aspect in a hotel. The staffs did not help much as they said there was nothing they could do, which further fuelled frustrations.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful except for the WIFI part. As for parking, hotel guests could get their coupons validated and it meant free parking, every time u leave or enter the hotel.

The shops outside the hotel also provided a cheaper alternative for lunch and some snacks.

Overall , though it was considered expensive for a 3D2N stay, I felt it was worthwhile as the kids totally enjoyed the hotel and almost everything was catered for kids.

Dear pamela_flen77

Thank you for your review. We are delighted to hear that you found our hotel so child friendly and orientated. Kids are at the heart of our business and therefore we have tried to make it as suitable as possible.

The disco lifts are one of our most popular features of the hotel and it great to see our guests loving them so much.

I am sorry to hear that you struggled to get onto our wifi. It does struggle when we are running at full capacity, however, I am pleased to confirm that we will be upgrading this in the near future.

Once again, thank you for your review and we hope to welcome you and your family back again in the future.

Kind regards,

We stayed a few nights at Legoland Hotel during mid-June. The staff at front desk are friendly and helpful, with special mention of a lady named Yan who really did her best to accommodate our requests.

We stayed in Premium Kingdom theme room and Premium Pirate theme room. Both room types were really nice with lots of Lego theming throughout. However, although the hotel is only a few months old, we noticed some wear and tear on the wallpaper, some wood chipped off at corner of bunk bed and also some missing pieces (bricks) on some Lego decorations in the room. But I guess these may be the result of inconsiderate guests, rather than the fault of the Hotel.

We celebrated Father's Day at Bricks Family Restaurant (dinner). We also had a couple of lunches here during our stay. Firdaus, the restaurant supervisor, was a very friendly guy and made us feel very welcomed.

The Bell staff were also very prompt and reliable.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

This is definitely a family friendly hotel. All of the rooms can easily accommodate 5 or 8 pax. We visited as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and stayed in a Premier kingdom themed room that faces Legoland Park. The room was large enough to have 2 separate sleep areas - a king bed for parents and a bunk bed with trundle for the kids. There are 2 sinks in the bathroom - 1 for the adults and a lower one for kids. So thoughtful. The kids enjoyed the treasure hunt in the room with chima toys as their prize for solving the clues. Breakfast is included and I would suggest to come as early as possible for breakfast coz otherwise you may be in for quite a long queue and that would mean less time at the parks. Hotel guests get to enter the parks earlier and this should be taken advantage of to beat the crowd. Oh and don't forget to get the complimentary parking ticket if you park at the hotel!

Stayed in May 2014

The hotel itself is great. Restaurant….not so

The lobby has stacks of lego for the kids to play with, though more than once the elders joined in.

We stayed in the kingdom theme. The kids had their own bunk bed and TV, though we never started the TV. They have really kept the theme of lego alive though the hotel with carpets and ceiling decoration based on the theme room. The room has a basic lego for the kids to play with. The hotel gives a treasure hunt which opens a safe, a great hit for the kids.

The lifts were a pleasant surprise as turned into mini disco :)

The bricks restaurant was not up to the mark at all. The service and food option needs a lot to be desired. The so called live counters were outside and they had already made pancakes and kept! How is it live? The food was not replenished fast enough; people had to wait for basic bread. The restaurant was not ready to manage the guest is all I can conclude.

The good thing is the park is just next doors. Did not use the pool which is on the top floor (spent time in the water park). The hotel gives you some great photo opportunity as they have managed to continue the theme at every imaginable opportunity.

Also, there is a plaza nearby wherein options for lunch / dinner are available.

If you visiting legoland park, the hotel guest get a 30 min early entrance to the park.

Room Tip: There is a theme per floor, so in case a large group is going make sure you take the same theme.

Stayed at a kingdom-themed premium room that can accommodate 3 adults and 2 children on a weekday and managed to get an early check-in, yay!

My first impression of the hotel was made even better by the very friendly and helpful staff at the concierge and front desk. They are very professional!

I love the Lego-theme in almost every part of the hotel:
- restroom signage
- elevators with carpet and wallpaper with Lego characters, and disco lighting with music when the elevator is on the move!
- theme-printed carpets; kingdom theme room levels have kingdom-theme-printed carpets and so on
- the doors to the rooms, the wallpaper, bed, accessories etc in the room all matches the theme!

The children had a wonderful time solving a puzzle to open the chest in the room so as to get their surprise (chima characters), compliments from the hotel! They had fun climbing up and down the bunk bed, sitting on the top bunk watching TV, running between the adults' room and their room.

I love the spacious bathroom that offers 2 sinks - 1 for adults and 1 for children. The king-size bed in the adults' room is a little short for tall people because of the thick headboard and the TV is quite small.. But it's ok! The view (great night view of legoland park) from the room compensates for these shortcomings

In the morning, there was quite a huge crowd waiting to have their breakfast in the buffet restaurant. Although we had to wait for quite some time, the staff at the entrance got it under control. The spread in the restaurant wasn't impressive and the hashbrown (in the form of a smiley face) is cold and soggy.. Also, the trays that collect used cutlery and utensils were stationed in view of customers, which I felt they could do a better job by bringing these trays to somewhere more obscure and rearrange the tables and chairs so as to accommodate more people. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience made better by the friendly staff.

There is a small strip of shops outside the hotel that offers a variety of eateries and restaurants. Not much to shop there, but functionality wise, the provision shops there offer last minute shopping for sunblock lotion, medication, shower gel/shampoo etc.

Great hotel, however check in process takes a very long time. Check in is only allowed at 16:00 pm, and check out is as early as 11:00 am. Guest special requests are ignored and are not even considered. I have requested an early check in and a late check out. Simply I was told by the staff upon check in that such requests are not allowed.

People who are working behind the counters at the lobby are not very friendly and not up to the standards of other LEGOLAND hotels staff in other countries.

Only two restaurants at the hotel. One of them was shut down one night for a private occasion. The other is formal not very suitable for young kids.

Rooms are great and comfortable. However, cleanness also is not that great to live up to the standards of similar LEGOLAND hotels in other countries around the world.

Room Tip: Kingdom Suite is a great room type for big families. It accommodates parents and kids comfortably.
