I stayed in this 'resort' as the pictures looked promising and they entertained online bookings. First up, you should note that this resort is about 15 mins drive from Mersing town. There is no public transport available. Secondly, while the resort is located at a beach (Air Papan), the waters are far from clear and can best be described as 'Green-bean soup' coloured. Sadly, the sandy beach extends for about 5m into the water, before the sea-bed turns to mud. Thirdly, this place is poorly maintained, e.g., the entire shower door came off its railings and almost caused my child injury.
On the plus side, the staff are friendly and honest. The breakfast provided was simple but adequate in quantity. There is a grass volleyball court setup, and a ball can be borrowed from reception. At night, fortunate guests may see wild boars snorting around the resort - they're quite a sight to behold, actually.
Price-wise, this hotel charges a premium for its location, but I honestly do not think it is justified at all. One may have better luck staying in a hotel closer to Mersing town. Among these, I would recommend Hotel Seri Malaysia (Mersing) for its location, and better upkeep (at least from external appearances).
